    I really need to stop leading so many guys on over text. Because I know I don’t have the confidence to meet them face to face.  I even arrange to ask to meet them but cancel.

    A guy literally live streamed his suicide on social media

    Tiktok needs to be taken down. Seriously. Videos of it are now being posted all over tiktok, of the suicide and other disgusting videos relating to suicide being attention seeking etc. 

    I'm actually so disgusted I even came across it..

    Can't even eat properly, barely eaten since Friday night... due to it all going on, haven't taken my meds due to reasons... and no follow up call from the cmht team or the doctors today so I don't know what's happening, and it's stressing me out more. Also, the thoughts are all coming back.

    I find it disgraceful and heartbreaking that social media causes so much suicide and bullying. Life without social media would be much better and that is why I have completely quit using Instagram because I was finding it really bad for me with my schoolwork and my mental health and relationships. All I use is WhatsApp and that is more of a messaging app than social media. Who else agrees with me?

    It wasn't social media the reason he took his life. He streamed it on social media however. 
    Most my experience in social media is extremely positive and I know so many others have constant positive experience. Let's not blame social media for suicide. Social media isn't a person

     I agree with @Kasa2103 , A lot of bullying happens on social media especially platforms like TikTok, and that alone can contribute to a person taking their lives, especially with the whole mob mentality and pressures to be "perfect". Social media isn't a person but it has created more avenues for people to bully and be hostile.

    I decided a while ago to step down from social media to focus more on myself and I saw an improvement in my overall well being. Sorry to hear that it had such a detrimental effect on you and kudos for putting yourself and wellbeing first ;)
