Re: Soooooo excited
I hope your first day of college went super well
. Hopefully though they can sort out your library account so you can take out the books that you really want
. I can't wait to hear about your projects as well. It sounds like a really cool course as well (It sounds familiar to the one that I did in college a bit)

Re: Livestreamed discussion about self-diagnosing ADHD (details in post!)
I'll check this for you @independent_. I assume it will be available afterwards wherever you usually listen to podcasts (Spotify, Acast, etc) but I'll drop them a message for you.

Re: Finishing off on The Mix
Hi @TheNightmare I'd just like to echo what the others have said but I have personally seen how much you have grown on this platform and how helpful your advice and support has been for other members- and that's what the Mix is all about!
I can understand your concerns about leaving the safety net of the Mix but there are definitely some other platforms that are suitable for over 25s that you might be interested in. One option I know has good recommendations is https://sidebyside.mind.org.uk/ which is a platform run by Mind. You still have time to browse around for which support network seems best for you.
Hope this helps

Re: my mum is seriously unwell again 😭.
Hey @eylah, glad to hear that your mum is in a stable condition. Hope she recovers and feels better soon
I can hear that it's a difficult time for you while your mum is in this state, that's completely understandable given what's happened. Just wanted to remind that if you feel you need extra support, you can always reach out to these services below who are around for chat:

Re: [OLD] We need you! Opt-in to transfer your discussion boards data
Thanks for letting us know @independent_. You're right, this is if you'd like your details for marketing emails to be transferred over. It's all a bit confusing as different teams need to ask for permission to transfer data! We're sending emails to volunteers, community members and then those who are subscribed to our marketing emails.
Doing both sounds like a good approach to be kept on the system
The community email for your accounts here will take a bit longer and we'll have everything ready by tomorrow hopefully. Thank you all for your patience!

Re: Recent comments & Drafts
Hello everyone! I come bearing tidings of great joy (tech updates)
Draft autosave: Something has broken here so the techies that maintain the software we use are investigating and will let us know of any new developments. We could fix it by switching the type of text editor we use, but that would come with accessibility drawbacks, so for now we're going to stick with BBCode until the issue resolves. We'll keep you all posted on that.
Timeout errors: These were related to a bug that has now been fixed, so you should see less of these. Some timeout errors are inevitable with any website so don't worry too much unless you're seeing them a lot more than usual.
Thread pages are empty: Turns out this is because the 'true' number of comments in the thread is higher than the amount you guys can see.
For a bunch of different reasons, sometimes posts are hidden from view. For short threads, that doesn't really matter because it's usually only one or two. However, for big threads like Count To 10k, the amount of hidden posts is high enough that it covers multiple pages. That's because the thread covers so much time and so many different accounts, so the hidden posts mount up.
That means you're seeing the 'true' number of pages for the discussion, but a much lower post count, which results in empty pages being shown at the end of the thread.
BUT, the most recent posts you can see are actually the most recent posts.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, as always!
