Re: Everything is so so shit right now
Hope you're doing okay today @Redemption
It can be so challenging to get comments like that from anyone - especially your family who should be there to motivate you and lift you up when you're feeling down. It is good to see you feeling confident enought to set boundaries and know when someone isn't worth the energy or negative vibes they send your way. Protecting your mental health is so so important and to see you making active steps to do so is something you should be so proud of.
All of here continue to be so proud of you as a person - and your motivation and determination to achieve your goals is something you should be proud of too. It's clear as day how much effort you give and how much you are trying - so don't let the opinions of others dampen that drive to succeed. We are all here for you to lift you up and cheer you on when you need us to.

Re: hospital
Hi @Jack25
Hope you're feeling a little better today after what sounds like a frightening experience you went through - especially ending up in the hospital. It makes total sense that you'd be anxious about your medication now, given the effects you've already experienced so far. Hopefully the doctors and other healthcare people can help you find a solution that works for you, and doesn't leave you feeling anxious and dealing with these side effects/symptoms.
We are always here if you want to talk about it more - or you have anything else on your mind.
Sending hugs

Re: hospital
hey @Jack25 🙂
that sounds so scary to have experienced!! you definitely did the right thing by getting help when your symptoms got so bad. it makes total sense that you’d feel anxious and hesitant about taking medication again after that kind of experience - i think a lot of people would feel the same as you do! how are you feeling now?
remember to take things slowly and be gentle with yourself as you recover from it all too

Re: Struggling but Still Trying to Stay Motivated in My Job Search
I know how hard it can be when you have people in your ear saying negative things towards you. But the fact that no matter what you keep going and keep trying just shows how determined and committed you are to the process. Like the course said, using things like ChatGPT can be useful, helping you figure out how you can word your skills to best fit criteria and things like that - boosting your chances of getting that breakthrough you deserve.
Keep going with it all - you've got this!!!
Thank you so much Sinead, I always love getting a reply from you, great reply as always. Really appreciate it, I hope you're ok.
Re: Hi there!
hello @Nemuritai and welcome - it's great to meet you and have you here on the boards with us all
Occupational health
Hello
Ive got to have an occupational health assessment from work now to pass probation for adjustments etc however ive bern triggered from it just the thought of I t upcoming and it being a male assessor. Its freaking me out ive cried for 2hrs over it
My manger was going to call me yesterday to ho through something and I couldn't even handle him calling me without it shaking me to bits because ive been so triggered from it. I had to ask if I could speak to service manager instead as she a female. She asked me why I wanted to talk to her and it came out ive been triggered and couldn't besr to hear a males voice. She laughed at first but I ended up laughing as I said it because im stupid enough to laugh at wrong times but then she was fine about it and is going to see what she can do in getting it changed and not worrying over it being later.
But the problem is I'm very busy from start of November so I domt have availability unless it i take a whole day off work.

Re: (Tw: suicidal thoughts): die
Thanks for the numbers, I have a psychiatrists that I might give a call at some point today or tomorrow or whenever I can be asked. I think right now, I'm going through some kind of severe depression episode due to some rececent events, so I'm just going to stay in my room all day and listen to depression vent playlists and wait for all this to go away on it's own.
And on a somwhat related note.

Here's that dog I was talking about. Her name is Poppy and she is probably one of the only things I care about right now.
