Obviously my definition of nature is going to be very different from that of a raving tree hugger, such as yourselves.

    So please, define nature.

You're the one that thinks we are separate. So define it and then tell me why.

To what extent do you mean 'conversation'?Just this little bit, or the whole shebang? I wouldn't go that far.

    This bit.

    Ok.

Nature just IS. In my opinion, it's everything that was here, before we started plonking towers everywhere.

    HOWEVER,

since we are/were born of nature, and we're part of it, its offspring, you could argue that the brand new housing estate down the road is nature. But you'd need to chase it into the ground...

And you are the one who thinks we arent.

So, for the third time, please define nature.

No animal is capable of writing a symphony or building a space satellite

    Do they need to then?

    Do we?

I am not sure about that.

Males in mating season of various species often maim and kill one another, as an example.....

I'm not sure which species comes as dumber...

I'm pretty sure that humans are clever than, for example, cows.

Do you have to even think about that?

    Do we?

This is probably the fundamnetal difference between other animals and humans....

They generally do what they need to do, humans go further.......

Yes, humans need things like music and art for the very reason that they have intellectual curiosity about the world around them.

Dumb Animals shit, have sex, eat, sleep and die. Hardly a fulfilling lifestyle, wouldnt you say?

What a stupid comment. Like you can apply concepts like "lifestyle" to animals.

Yes we do, else all we'd get up for in the morning is to fight wars. Being blessed with intelligence and reason, we need something to occupy our minds other than where our next food's coming from.

So let me get this right. A more fulfilling lifestyle is to get up, eat, go to work, eat, have sex, go to sleep?

You're the one that brought it up.

Yeah, then I asked you to define it. So go on, answer my question, then I will answer yours.
Like you can apply concepts like "lifestyle" to animals.

Good point, animals are too brainless to have lifestyles.

Perhaps, if your occupation is an artist, you will paint a masterwork. Or if you are a writer, you will write a novel.

Humans are constantly learning and improving themselves.

Animals dont, they are instinctive, which makes them inferior creatures.

Another daft comment. Inferior how? Surely inferior is a human concept, so it can't apply to animals.

Many species of animals have highly developed language and comprehension skills. I wouldn't expect you to know or understand this though.

I suppose it's okay to murder, use or abuse the mentally disabled amongst us Matadore, is it not? Clearly they're just dumb beings only being able to eat, shit and sleep...

Good point, animals are too brainless to have lifestyles.

Some Humans are too brainless to realise that "lifestyles" don't actually matter one jot.

Some don't even realise that a "Human Being" is just another animal.

Evolution doesn't mean improvment, it means adaptation.

My point is that animals do "need" occupations. We don't "need" them either.

All we "need" is food, shelter and the means to reproduce.

    Last time, answer my question.

Of course it can, part of being human is being able to judge things, and as such I would define animals as an inferior form of life.

Instinct, which is light years behind human language and communication.
I suppose it's okay to murder, use or abuse the mentally disabled amongst us Matadore, is it not?

The mentally disabled are human beings, just like the rest of us. Surely you dont need me to tell you that?

So? You seem to be implying that having intelligence is the only deciding factor on whether a creature is 'superior' or more worthy than another.

Humans have a lot more over animals than mere 'intelligence'.

Well it certainly gives it an advantage. At the end of the day, it's survival of the fittest. The most intelligent and adaptable animal is the strongest.

You obviously don't pay enough attention to just what disgusting creatures foxes really are then.

Foxes will quite happily torture and kill and entire coop of chickens, and not eat a single one.

    Yep, we have opposable thumbs.

    And, um, that's it.

For the record, it'd be amusing to put you in a lion's den and see who was more "inferior":)

Only if you designed and built it yourself, and mined your own bullets.

humans are animals, we belong to a particular group called mammals, anyone who thinks we're some sort of superior being is just stupid and too wound up in the materialistic world, i mean, the first ever humans lived in the bare, empty world, had to fend for themselves and lived naked, we just have super brains and have made alot for ourselves.

One could argue that the "primitices" who lived with nature, instead of over it, were actually far more intelligent and successful than we will ever be in our "civilised" chemical dump of a planet.
