    @AislingDM I think it was definitely a more light hearted perspective on mental health, I personally really liked the film because I liked the way they touched on stigma around Jennifer Lawrence's character and the way she responded to trauma. I think it could've gone more in depth into it but I understand there's often stigma around these disorders and would be worried they'd maybe lean into that a bit too much and add further stigma in society towards it <3

    Definitely!! I think it's so important also that films give a range of portrayals of mental health needs, right? Like no two people are going to experience schizophrenia for example in the same way. Plus i know films only have a two-hour window to work in! xx @Brookee

    I definitely agree with you there! It's so important to have a diverse portrayal so there's more understanding and less stigma. Could've have said it better myself everyone responds and deals with disorders and illnesses completely differently to one another :) For sure, it's really difficult to accurately portray how someone manages within 2 hours, I agree! xx

    I've just started watching the new season of Stranger Things! Has anyone else watched it yet?
    Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

    Yesssss @Aife I'm trying to limit myself to an episode a day because of exams lol, I'm on episode 3 and I'm loving it so far. What do you think of it?

    Watched "They Live" recently with a friend, it was pretty interesting!

    I recently watched an anime movie "A Silent Voice" that was absolutely excellent. It's very serious and possibly upsetting though so I'd recommend looking up some trigger warnings before watching but I honestly can't praise it enough!

    @Aife
    I’ve been trying my best to like it. Got to session 3 and I just can’t force myself to watch it anymore. In my opinion it’s abit boring and predictable.
    “And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind.You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

    I loved this season of Stranger Things @Aife !! I thought it was nice to see the kids a bit more grown up and navigating all their relationships in new ways. Plus I loved the music. Admittedly I did think it was a bit gory this season!!

    I found that too @Siobhan but season 4 is the best one yet. Keep going with watching it!

    @AislingDM yeah the music is soo good in the new season! I keep listening to the soundtrack! Yeah it was a bit gory wasn't it? Not long until part 2 of this season!

    I finally got around to seeing Everything Everywhere All at Once after being recommended it by just about everyone I know. :lol: Very good movie it was very sweet but also extremely silly, can definitely understand why it got so much attention!

    It's just such a wonderfully engaging movie, right @Riley ? So unique as well I reckon, I love love love seeing family dynamics play out in films and observing how they progress throughout the plot!! What was your fave bit of the movie? xx

    Last film I watched was actually yesterday in college. We had to watch 'The Graduate' which is a very interesting film. There was a pov shot that I found very fascinating and some of the car scenes were 👌

    It's been so long since I sat down and watched a film but I think the last one I watched was Thor: Love and Thunder
