Yes I know you didn't attempt to pass it off as fact. But now I'm asking you a direct question. What facts do you base your opinion on? You must've reached this opinion somehow, so what evidence forms it's basis?
For example: A 70 year old ex-teacher smoking a joint now and then to sooth pain from arthritis.
That is classed as drug use, does that instantly make the teacher less intelligent?
They have positive effects too. Not all drugs are harmful to all people. There's two ends of a very big spectrum here.
The above reason, curiosity, humans take risks.
In my opinion a person is very stupid to base opinions on little or no scientific evidence or logic. Your opinion is fatuous and you need to do some research into the whole issue of drugs before coming here with a similar opinion.

Define harm. And explain the harm you're referring to, and which specific illegal drug causes that particular form or harm.
Anyway, you seem to have fully admitted that your opinion has no basis in facts, evidence or logic, so you have nothing to bring to any debate on the subject. There are plenty of people who have a similar stance to you, but their opinion is respected by those who disagree with them, because they have based it on looking at the facts and the entire issue, rather than their own gut feeling. Try it some time, and you might actually be respected and listened to.
