Would you care to explain why you think taking drugs (icluding alcohol) is stupid?

People know the risks of both.
Neither are exactly good for your health.
It's a bit stupid to even want to try it, really.

Your correct, I drink. Shock horror, guess that makes me less intellegent.

Perhaps if you tried one of those from the list it may open you mind up and help you to stop talking such shit.

    LOL.
It's funny how everyone online I discuss this with gets defensive.

Why can't you just accept an opinion?

    Yes, it does imo.
LOL. I've made a decision not to drink, sorry, but no-one online is going to convince me otherwise.

You don't have to drink in order to experience alcohol.

You can attribute that many sports, jobs and driving.

Lots of things arn't good for your health and carry risks in this life, and if you lived you life around them you'd have one seriously boring life.

I think people generally get defensive when you incorrectly call them stupid.

I think you opions a load of shite (which I do) then I'll say so. I don't know if you've noticed but this is a discussion board?

    Yes, but that's completely different.
With sport, there's a sense of achievement to be gained. It's competition.
With driving, you have the ability to go wherever you want whenever you want, more or less.
Jobs, you need them to earn money to get by.

All the things you mentioned have positives to them, alcohol, drugs and cigarettes don't.

It's my opinion, I'm not forcing anyone to agree.

Yes, it is a discussion board, and I'm giving my view.
No-one is willing to accept it.

+ You're more than welcome to think my opinion is shite. Idc, really.

People do drugs becaue it gives them pleasure, same with with many sports.

    It's not different mate.

Foods and sports release dopamine in your system, in the same way many drugs do.

    Eh?
Your opinion can be incorrect. You could for instance have the opinion that 2+2=5 and you'd be wrong, just as you're wrong here.

LOL, you can't have an opinion that 2 + 2 = 5, because there is fact proving otherwise.

So you admit there are postives now?

Sports and drugs. There are risks but some people are willign to take them to experience the pleasures. How is it different?

Drugs do have positivies or else people wouldn't do them!

    Ok, let's get technical.
What I meant was that pleasure isn't worth the risks.

    It's different.
Sport isn't definitely going to do you harm, drugs are.

The 'positive' that comes from drug use isn't worth it.

Says the person who'd never taken them?

I know it's not something you hear very often but lots of poeple have used drugs and had a good time without any negative effect on their lives.

I'm one of them. For me the benifits have far outweighed any negatives.

Oh, well in that case, I've suddenly changed my mind!!

You don't need to do drugs in order to have an opinion.
    LOL, looks like.

Actually sports can cause harm (injury etc) and drugs do not always lead to harm.

i reckon he's just trolling, coming onto a drugs board and saying anyone who takes drugs lacks intelligence, don't waste your time biting!

even if you're not taking the piss, you still aren't worth talking to :thumb:

Yes drugs always have an effect, but that effect is not always harmful. Forget that propaganda you read in the media or were taught in school. The fact is that the majority of people who use drugs come to no harm.

Here's a little chart (put together by Dr Russell Newcombe, one of the foremost experts on drug use in the UK), comparing risks for types of drug use and other activities.
    http://dancesafe.org/documents/druginfo/risk.php
You'll see that using ecstasy is comparable in risk to playing rugby.

    Me taking the piss?
So anyone who doesn't agree with drugs must be a troll?
    Aha.

With attitude, the feeling is mutual my friend. Believe me. ;)

How does one "agree with drugs"? Actually, I think I had a row with some lager last week.

It's pretty sad when people have to try and provoke arguments on message boards for entertainment. This twats just trying to wind everyone up, nobody can be that ignorant surely.
