Re: tw//: domestic violence. self harm.
Hi @eylah
Just wanted to jump in here and let you know that women's aid is also for survivors of domestic abuse, here's the section of the website all about that:
https://www.womensaid.org.uk/information-support/the-survivors-handbook/ive-left-and-i-need-support/
If you feel comfortable and think it would help you can also reach out for some support from them by dropping them a wee email
I hear that you've not too keen on contacting them but i thought i'd let you know that they do have support available to you

Doing non-work writing (for example on my blog) also comes to mind, as does learning driving, but those are more about smaller regular bursts of work over time.
Tbh though it's really hard to think clearly or feel optimistic about this stuff right now... I still feel exhausted nearly all the time, my head hurts, and I've got one of those hacking chest coughs that takes all the energy left out of you, etc.
I'm just so frustrated that I've been resting and drinking and trying to do everything you're supposed to but after three days I still feel shattered. (Gen note for the group lol -) it has to get better soon right? Plz tell me it will 😢
it will get better i believe it will it sounds like your body needs rest to then be ready to fight everything again in future. im sending you so many hugs. 🫂

Re: Does it sound like I'm getting more ahead ?
Hey @TheNightmare, it's so lovely to read your updates here! Thanks for keeping us posted!
It sounds really positive that you've already completed your first placement taster session - congratulations! I can hear that while you did not get offered the official placement at the end following your interview, the experience itself felt really valuable - would that be fair to say? That's so wonderful, and I'm so glad to hear too that the interview did not necessarily rock your confidence (although it is very valid to feel this sometimes too). What was your favourite thing about the taster session? How are you finding the functional skills training too? I'd love to hear more about it if you'd like to share
We're rooting for you with your next placement taster session too. Whatever happens, you're doing your best, and you deserve to feel proud of the steps you're taking
We believe in you, and trust that you're going to find a job that feels right. Your future-team will be so luck to have you!
What has taking care of yourself between job-hunting tasks looked like recently?
Sending hugs!

Re: Ford Fiesta mk6
Your feelings are completely valid and definitely doesn't sound sensitive, it isn't very nice to hear somebody say something like that, even though their intentions may not have been to hurt you. I hope venting on here has helped

RainbowPenguin wrote: »Update: feeling better now. Still flu-y, headache and so on, but I don't feel like shit emotionally at the moment. The insecurities and stuff I talked about... it's still definitely hanging around in my brain lol, but I don't feel like I'm stuck in a downward "you suck in every possible way" spiral right now!
It's really hard being even a little bit sick, especially when I was actually starting to feel more confident about stuff and especially especially on my week off work ☹️ I'm struggling to find a balance between resting and, like, not letting my brain kind of stagnate, if that makes sense?
i rly hope you feel better soon
