Re: Results Day - Support Thread and Support Chat!
@JJLemon18 yesss 🎉
I’m happy for you - uni has it’s ups and can also be a tough ride with all the studying exams and assignments to complete, so well done for getting through it and the resits and struggles too which would’ve made that ride harder. And that’s why you deserve to graduate 🥳

Re: Schedule update for Support Groups
TheNightmare wrote: »Hey everyone,
We'd like to let you know about some temporary changes that will be taking place for our Support Groups weekly schedule.
What’s changing?
From the 9th September, Support Groups will be running Tuesdays to Thursdays & Sundays (and will be closed Mondays).
Why is this happening?
For a few reasons, we've needed to close chats lately and we’ve been seeing a low level of attendance in the Young Carer's Support Chat. To give you a more reliable chat schedule, and to help us manage our resources internally, we'll be temporarily reducing the number of chats that are running.
We know that Support Groups are an important and helpful place for you all to get support and connect with each other. For some of you, these groups are a significant part of your support network, and any change to that can feel challenging or even a little scary. Please know that we and the rest of the community are here to go through that change with you and support you.
We also want to reassure you that this is a temporary change and we aim to run our support groups on more days in the future when we have more internal resources.
Where can I get support when Support Groups aren't open?
The Discussion Boards are here as always for you to reach out for support about anything you are going through. You can also join our weekly Friday chat threads which run from 8-9.30pm.
Childline - offers information, advice, and confidential counselling to anyone aged 18 and under. You can call them on 0800 1111, or you can head to their website to access their webchat service.
Our Crisis Messenger text service provides free, 24/7 crisis support across the UK. To start a text chat, text THEMIX to 85258.
Samaritans are reachable by phone and email 24/7. Whatever you're going through, you can call them on 116 123. They also have a 1-1 webchat service available.
How can I share feedback about this change?
You can share your comments, feedback, or questions about this update in this thread. If you'd prefer to leave feedback anonymously, we have created an anonymous form for you to complete.

As always, thank you all for being patient with us and being a wonderful community

Will this effect Friday support threads?
No, it's about support groups. The only change stated here is no support chats on Mondays.

Re: Struggling to cope with feelings and feeling stuck
Hey @Radical I just wanted to jump in to say it's totally understandable to not feel comfortable going to a GP - you're definitely not alone in that as it can be a scary step!
I just wanted to share a few other places where you can talk to someone for more support and guidance (if that's what you feel like you would ever want / would help you)
Also I totally hear you when you say it's easier to reach out on the boards - so do keep doing that when you need to

Re: Struggling
@Rose113 It sounds like you had a tricky night last night.. If you're still feeling unwell later today, remember you can always call 111 for advice.
Could you tell me more about your "body clock thing"? Sometimes it can be helpful to adjust your sleep schedule gradually to get it back on track
