Re: my positive recovery
Sorry to hear you were struggling yesterday, remember in recovery there will ups and downs but you are doing so well and making good progress from what I can see from this thread. Try not to beat yourself up too much for this relapse and focus your energy into using your distractions again next time the thoughts creep in. You got this eylah and we will be here to listen and support you throughout
Well done for going to the kebab shop too that’s really positive step! You should be really proud of yourself, it’s normal to struggle with something like that but you stuck with it and kept going which is great:)

Re: Age regression and memory loss
Hey @Rose113 -
Just wanted to say i'm so proud of you for not only sharing this part of your story with us, but also giving a bit of insight into what it's like to experience age regressions. i think it's a really brave thing to share and i think you being able to speak about it on here gives it the awareness that i think a lot of people may not have (myself included as i'd heard of it but didn't know a great deal about it). but i can imagine it's super challenging especially if it affects your speech or memory.
and i'm sorry to hear you often feel alone in these experiences - likely due to the lack of available support specifically on it and the under-education of such challenges within services etc.
whilst us on here may not be super educated on the depths of age regressions - we are all here if you need a space to rant or vent or support you in any way we can.
sending you lots of hugs and hope you're doing okay
keep going you've got this!!!
Sinead

Re: Barrier of getting support
@TheNightmare Hey there,
All of what you mentioned here makes a lot of sense to me. It's a lot to ask for help and go through the steps of receiving it. Any professional you speak with, especially a counsellor will be aware of the vulnerability that comes with asking for help and do their best to help you feel comfortable during that journey. You mentioned wanting free options, here are some that you could look into.
Remember there is no rush to this, you can take your time and see what works for you. Breathe and know that you have The community team here rooting for you!
