Our Hopes for Community in 2025! ⭐
Happy New Year Everyone!
I just wanted to start the new year by expressing how incredibly impressed I was with the way our community came together over the Christmas period. The support shown to each other, the lovely events hosted, and the general sense of togetherness was SO great to see. 2024 wasn't a smooth-sailing year at The Mix and it really reminded me of the incredible spirit that exists within this community despite lots of changes happening within the organisation.
I'm excited to see what we can achieve together in 2025. Here are a few of my hopes for the community:
Expand the Community Youth Voice Group: I believe there are some fantastic and creative young minds within our community, and I'd love to see the Youth Voice Group expand to include a few new voices. A separate post will be coming today with more details on this, but I encourage any interested members to reach out.
More Community-Led Projects: I'm open to all suggestions, but I'd particularly love to see us come together in creating a community newsletter. This could be a fantastic way to share news, stories, and ideas within our community. Let me know your thoughts on this!
Continue the BRILLIANT Peer Support: The level of peer support shown over Christmas so great. As you know, this is a peer-led space, so it's super important that we continue to nurture and encourage this support system within our community!
I'm excited to see what the new year brings and to continue build a stronger, more connected community together!!!
