Re: tw//: domestic violence. self harm.
first of all i'm super proud for you being brave and telling your dad about the situation - you absolutely did what you thought was the right thing, and none of this situation is your fault. you haven't done anything wrong.
it could be the case that he is in shock, as i can't imagine its easy to hear your child has gone through this - so maybe he needs a bit of time to just process it himself first. (a possibility but i couldn't say for sure)
either way, well done you for being brave and speaking up to him. and we are all extremely proud of you and are here for you however we can be - you are absolutely not alone in this like Matthew said.
Sending you a big hug

You got an amazing collection of stickers and the Stitch stickers are definitely my favourite of them all!. I also love your Stitch funko pops and the keyring too!. I bet that its a very big milestone and big thing for you to be going back to mainstream school. I hope eveything goes well for you during time and remember to be kind to yourself in the process of it all. Also Im super proud of you for getting that certificate of confidence, I think thats really amazing!.

Re: Feeling lost in life
@Meowmew2024 - Just wanted to echo what @JJLemon18 has said and remember to explore what you care about - something incredible could come from it.
As hard as it can be to not compare yourself to the people around you, at the end of the day we are all on our own journeys and things happen at different paces for everyone. I know people who I went to school with who feel miles ahead in life, but at the end of the day, my journey and path is happening the way it is.
Just don't give up and remember you are definitely not alone in how you feel
Sending hugs
Sinead

Re: Secondary school
@JJLemon18, it’s ok to be unsure about where to start. If you ever felt like Instagram is something you’d like to try out, it’s fine to begin by taking baby steps at first. When starting off, it’s useful to create a profile. Demonstrating things you’re passionate about can help viewers to know more about you. It’s useful to share content that viewers find engaging, as this can help with attracting and engaging them.
Keeping people engaged can be hard, which can be part of the journey for most people. Some simple content ideas can be about food, visiting places or travel. Educational information and inspirational content are things that are admired by people. With this aside there’s no pressure to use Instagram, and if you ever wanted to give it a go that’s ok. It may or may not work out (which is ok too!). There’s platforms that don’t always work for us and we can find ones that do.
As a final message I want you to know you are cared for ❤️

Re: family stuff tw for physical/emotional abuse, gaslighting, suicidal thoughts
@violynenjoyer - I just wanted to say the same as Matthew and V, I can't imagine living through what you have, but I'm proud of you for opening up, it's a brave thing to do - the Mix will always be a safe place for you to tell us how you feel, or whats going on for you at the moment. I know it's A LOT easier said than done, but try and remember you aren't the one at fault here. you're not to blame for your dad's anger and violence, no matter what has gone on.
I hope you're doing okay today and I'm sending you a big virtual hug

Sinead
