No Blagsta, I can go on, it is you who has lost your balance. Can you provide me with evidence to suggest any Royal Support for the Spanish Civil war?

Why can't you just accept it? We want our Queen, our future King, its just us, maybe your an new generation of immigrant, no offence, but our monarchy has lasted this long, and we like it like that. She welcomes immigrants, so does the majority of us, so you need to start welcoming British culture, and stop imagioning yourself to be some political revolutionist guru, 'coz you aint.

Support for the Queen is low in young adults, high for elders, but young kids, who witnessed the Jubilee unity/celebrations etc and slowly becoming more proud of our Sovereign and structure, as we develop many more intellectuals.

Yes, the King may one day travel by Underground, and eat in a chippy, but they are here to stay, they are above politics, and there is nothing you, or your so-called demo-seekers can do about it.

It's what we want, just let it go.

Well the argument was about the British Monarchy. And your thing about implicit is complete rubbish. You may be able to make a better case for it being part of appeasement, but to suggest implict support is rubbish.

And given that the Republicans were explicitly supported by Stalin I'd be careful about making too much of the Spanish Civil War as abattle between the forces of democratic socialist goodies and evil, reactionary baddies (especially given that during the rule of the evil reactionary baddies the Head of State was a general and it was only on his death and democratic rule that the monarchy returned).

I suggest you actually read some history of the Spanish civil war. I'd recommend the Anthony Beevor book. Its quite clear that the British implicitly supported the fascists by refusing to enforce the arms blockade to the fascists while supporting the arms blockade to the republicans. And yes, I'm well aware that Stalin supported the republicans, except its actually more complicated than that. Stalin supported the International Brigades and the communist party to the detriment of the POUM and the CNT militias. Stalin sold out the revolution, so I'm under no illusions there.

No, you want the queen, plenty of other people don't. Face it, you're not some monarchist guru, you're just a spotty little kid whose main ambition is to work in Tescos.

I'm 27 years of age, and isn't it funny how I called you spotty earlier, so you resort to using my own tags on you. Find your own.

And as for "plenty" of people, well you have these Chav's, but they're undeveloped, they are ignorant to society for now, give them time, and then you have the sizeable republicans, who, are a minority in comparison.

I shop at Tesco's, I dont work there, gosh your a fool.

Hmmmm, the style is exactly the same, the views are exactly the same, the fantasies are exactly the same. I guess you're saying he's wrong 'cos the IP address doesn't match. People do change their ISP, people do post from different places. I must have had lots of different IP addresses over the years.

You don't get to run a witch hunt, you think someone is the a banned member you report it. You continue with this and it'll be the final straw

I have a feeling I am being accused of double acting, or that I have previously been banned. Untrue - Maybe people have crossed blagsta before because of his idiotic behaviour, but i'm fresh blood.

I wasn't applying for a job yesterday, infact, neither was my neice, according to exconey's posts it was a while ago, for Tesco.

I have found this site entertaining so I use it now. I hope the moderation is firmly in place to ban members who try and posinous centuries of hard work and endeavour to corrupt our sound government.

So how does your niece feel about you posting under her name? It appears she sent off the application form about 3 weeks ago. Maybe you should check your facts more carefully?

There's no debate here, it's a few silly comments off silly people that sparked a little uproar. The masses have far more common sense.

    You'll see.

No babes, aint that, its just, I have to do stuff now, live my life, enjoy my media, my Queen yada yada. The overwhelming support for 'Er Maj on this particular thread does nothing short of embarras and humiliate Republicanism.

    I'll leave you to it.

    The door is now shut.

Well that does look extremely similar in tone and style to a banned member. If it did become apparent you have been banned in the past then it will be delt with seriously.

If you've not be banned before then you should be aware this is a website aimed at discussion, not a disruption or restricting people's rights to express thier opinions.

I suggest you read the good manners guide in the announcement's section.

RK's view on the monarchy were close to Blagstas, in that he too was a republican.

As i said, tone and style not content - but anyway please move past this and discuss the issues at hand, not who someone might be.

"No, definitely not! People are constantly complaining about the queen and the royal family. This institution is unique to the UK - nowhere else in the world does an institution such as this exist! When you ask any tourist about the UK - the first thing that springs to mind is the Queen and the Royal Family - without the monarchy the UK will become another nameless EU state - stop complaining about the monarchy and realise what we actually have!"

    Finalé

The institution is not unique to the United Kingdom, because there are other states which have a constitutional monarchy.

Also the United Kingdoms heritage would not simply cease to exist just because we become a republic. This heritage is the history of all the people that have lived, worked and died for the country and to argue that it would be diminished by removing the to one privilege family I think is absurd.

The main issue that I have is the fact that I have treat a member of the royal family with more respect and treat them differently to others because they have had the luck to be born in that family. It is wrong to have a group of people in a more privileged position just because of a fluke of birth.
