I don't know, I've never been raped. But my best mate has. Rights should be equal. Maybe having them withdrawn as a punishment would work, like the right to vote. Hang on, we already do that.

about the rapists... from how I see it... in every way not just rape every way... the victim is pushed to the side.

It's a serious allegation, a person sent down for rape is never treated nicely. They have to be guilty.

As for victims being pushed to the side, they are given anonymity by the courts, that's why they are so on the side-lines.

Here's an example of what happens to rapists in prison, and also kiddy molesters. Someone walks toward them carrying a jug of water, the water is boiling, is gets thrown on the rapist, water on it's own though, would quickly cool down and drop off. This water is laced with sugar, and it sticks, and it burns.

If the rapist complains he'll get the shit kicked out of him every night for the next week until he learns to keep quiet. Prison, is not a nice place.

I certainly havent said crime is low, I have said that it has gone down significantly since Labour has come into power, which is has.

And, why am I offencive? I'm curious to know.

I am inclined to believe more people at reporting the crimes because of improvements in proceedure.

This is certainly true with male rapes.

Are male rapes and female rapes separated in the statistics?

I believe they are for the police but not for the general public.

That's probably why the reporting has gone up then, women are probably treated better as well.

    Reasons to believe otherwise please?

It is believed to be the case with domestic violence, why not rape?

There certainly is, and its an ugly subject to talk about because there are ingraved feelings. Personally I think any sex you dont KNOW is consentual is rape, this clearly including drunken mistake type sex.

However, there have been more than a few cases of women using rape allegations against men and there does need to be some sort of protection against that.

Rape victims are not cross examined in the court room anymore are they? And I'm 99% sure that the alleged rapist is never allowed to question them anymore.

It is getting better but its still not as good as it could be.
