The panel decided I've got to stay on my section for now but my family will be here in a minute and I havent seen them for 2 months so I'm mixed with nervousness and excitement.

Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

I did have a nice time with my family visiting me at the hospital. I'm going to ask in ward round today if I can go out for a meal with them on Wednesday so🤞

I'm feeling dissapointed about the decision the panel made but I'm trying to think positive so I can get out of here ASAP. I think the consulant wanted to review some things in the reports that's why he wanted to keep me here longer my solicitor said but my section ends on the 17th so I'll deffinetly be discharged that day but hopefully sooner!

The consultant said I can go out for 3hours on Wednesday with my family although I think he wrote the wrong time down so I need to confirm this because my mum dosent finish work until 1:45pm and it's a 45minute drive so I hope the this dosent change things and the consultant also has given me unescorted ground leave twice a day for half an hour and I'm starting a new antipsychotic depot tomorrow SO I AM PREPARING to come home YIPPEEE. Hopefully won't have to stay until the 17th. Hopefully be coming home end of this week or beginning of next week🤞

How're things going @Past User? Were you able to have your afternoon leave today?

I had my afternoon out with my family yesterday instead of today because my mum changed plans. I have 3 hours a day escorted leave and 30mins twice a day unescorted leave. The consultant is saying I can't be discharged until someone is going to be at home but there is'nt staff there 24hours a day so when I am discharged the likelyhood is that no-one is going to be there. So idk what he means. I was hoping to be discharged tomorrow or Friday but the consultant wouldnt let me go out for the day today on my own so how is he going to discharge me tomorrow or Friday but who knows🤔

Hey there @Past User it's been a while since you posted this so I just wanted to check up on you and see how you're doing.

You mentioned that you were hoping to be discharged either today or yesterday, has that managed to happen yet? Hopefully the doctors are able to make a decision and do what's best for you either way. :)

Like a lot of other people in this thread have said we all care about you and are here to support you as much as we can, be sure to keep us all up to date with how you're feeling!

No I havent been discharged😥 they want to keep me in here until I have an assesment that could offer me more intensive support but there not coming to do the assesment until next week. It's going to be a long weekend😥 I wish it was Monday tomorrow. At least it's ward round on Monday so I'll be seeing the consultant then.

Hey! I remember being discharged after spending some time sectioned. It can really feel overwhelming without the safety net. And eventho I hated it there I kinda missed it and wanted to go back. But just know - however you feel it's all valid and now you have more freedom!  can be really diffcult the first week or so. We are here <3 have you got any plans or anything to look forward to? Or just want to not do much for now?

I'm glad to hear you've been discharged @Past User, although I understand that you feel a bit strange and scared. As @Shaunie said, it can be an overwhelming change after spending time in hospital.

Do you have any support arranged now that you're back home?

We're all here for you, you're doing great <3

Well I should be seeing the Home treatment team but they havent been in touch.

I have an assesment with a more intensive support personality pathway tomorrow but I doubt they'de offer support straight away. Tomorrow is just an assesment and then after the assesment tomorrow I am seeing my Care Co-ordinator.

So not much support I'll end up with a re-admission if they don't offer me more support soon.

You're doing really well Lubna. Best of luck with your assessment today, I really hope you're able to get the support your hoping for. Let us know how it goes today. <3

It went shit today. They only did half the assesment so I have to go back next week or the week after to finish the assesment.

The Home treatment team left me a voicemail to say they was going to be here between 5 and 5:30 so I came back from my friends to see them but they havent come yet.

Just rang the Home treatment team and they said they've already left so they'll come tomorrow. Typical I didnt need to come back from my friends.
