Men's Support Chats in June!

Ahead of Men’s Mental Health week next month, we’re excited to share that we’ve teamed up with the JD Foundation (the charity arm of JD Sports and the JD Group) to create spaces that feel relatable and supportive.
From podcast episodes where JD team members open up about their own mental health journeys, to street chats with young men across the UK, this partnership is all about getting people talking about something that really matters: our mental health.
Right now, nearly 6 in 10 young men say anxiety or depression are their biggest mental health challenges - but asking for help can still be one of the hardest steps to take. That’s why JD Foundation have partnered with us to offer a space where young men can feel supported, heard, and understood.
Starting Monday 9th June 8pm-9:30pm, we’re launching a brand-new Support Chat focused on Men’s Mental Health- the first of two new chats funded by the JD Foundation. We’ll be sharing more details soon about the second one launching in July.
Whether you're:
- feeling overwhelmed by uni, work, or relationships
- dealing with anxiety or stress
- or just here to support others
- you’re not alone, so please join our support spaces.
Also, feel free to start a thread, share your experience, or reply to someone who might need a little support. Sometimes, even just saying “I’ve been there too” can make a huge difference.
If you're new and do not have an account on Chatwee where the chats take place, you'll need to sign up for an account here which only takes a couple of minutes!
Here is our chat schedules as we run multiple a week on top of this one in partnership with the JD Foundation!

These are fab - it’s so important to get people (but especially men) talking about things. Just look at the difference in suicide rates - they’re so much higher for men, so any space that encourages men to talk is brilliant.
I’m a bit confused here mind you because it says general chat, but it sounds more like a support chat? If it more like a general support chat?
Also, is it just for men, or are women allowed to come and help others? Assuming it would include people who identify as trans and non binary too.
Asking this as I’d be more than happy to come along and help people
Fair enough, I thought this might be the case. Hopefully it’s well used and it helps men to talk - that’s so important.
It's definitely a good idea mate
fingers crossed men/male-identifying people feel comfortable enough to come to these chats and talk about their problems and worries, as it is so important to do so.
sending hugs to everyone
Ill definately be coming, looking forward to it. It's definitely needed. Thanks for doing it.
