Gary Moore has always been top of my list. Here is his track, One Day.

    RIP Gary

What am I listening to? It's more like what I am watching. This is the Seaboard RISE 49 I bought and here, ROLI specialist Heen-Wah Wai creates a track using a BOSS RC-505 Loop station that I bought recently to make composing a doddle, enhancing our performances planned for next year. But this guy is awesome.

    1080p video
Having bought Hans Zimmer's Masterclass for film score composing, this is another fine example of what this Seaboard Rise can achieve, by MDX Music.

Monster by The Automatic. Bit of a throwback!

    Hi @Mike

That was truly a great track! I've never heard of The Automatic before. Neither of Mike Oldfield and Maggie Reiley's To France. Mike Oldfield recorded his Songs of Distant Earth on an Ampex tape machine, and that album analogue sound is fantastic on our stereo even now. Their instrumentation on To France is similar to our band's lineup. Maggie's voice was quite haunting.

    I like that sound

Tonight I'm streaming Mylene Farmer Timeless 2013 LE FILM 720p to the telly so we're going to be in for a treat! The film lasts 2 hours 6 min, so if your Saturday night viewing is meh, watch this! :)

I happened upon Nirvana's Rainbow Chaser and got fascinated with the phasing on their old vinyl record...

Phasing means a pair of identical musical channels are allowed to drift in and out of phase creating a sense of movement the listener hears when positioned between two speakers. Using my reference headphones I compared the sample to the phasing on Tonny Nesse's magnificent track 7th Wonder. Wow! This track and its criss-crossed phasing is quite a masterpiece of recording. It's the best I've heard in a very long time. :)

My cello playing partner Dixie said we could work that track into our repertoir, but phasing it wider to improve a greater sense of movement to our audience, bettering it still by introducing the track on her cello at 3:53 and my taking over on my Nord synth...Naturally we would pay Tonny Nesse royalties if we recorded our own version and put it out. After all, we do have to pay for a public performing licence.

From Armin van Buuren 'Intense', Richard Bedford & Timmy & Tommy - Love Never Came. I've always loved David Bedford, but recently he's become scarce.

As if performing to 4,500 in Madrid last summer wasn't enough in heat of 38C, I can't imagine what it must have felt like to be playing to a a crowd of 30,000+ such as Bryan Kearney did when gigging ASOT700 at Argentina. Now here is is performing last 2015 and we just love this track's audio and beautiful lyrics so much that we're including it this December.

Plumb - Need You Now, a remix by Bryan Kearney contains flashing images
    Lyrics
Well, everybody's got a story to tell
And everybody's got a wound to be healed
I want to believe there's beauty here
'Cause oh, I get so tired of holding on
    I can't let go, I can't move on
I want to believe there's meaning here
How many times have you heard me cry out
    "God please take this"?
How many times have you given me strength to
    Just keep breathing?
    Oh I need you
    God, I need you now.
    Standing on a road I didn't plan
Wondering how I got to where I am
I'm trying to hear that still small voice
I'm trying to hear above the noise
How many times have you heard me cry out
    God please take this?
How many times have you given me strength to
    Just keep breathing?
    Oh I need you
    God, I need you now.

    Though I walk,
Though I walk through the shadows
And I, I am so afraid
Please stay, please stay right beside me
With every single step I take
How many times have you heard me cry out?
And how many times have you given me strength?
How many times have you heard me cry out
    "God please take this"?
How many times have you given me strength to
    Just keep breathing?
    Oh I need you
    God, I need you now.
    I need you now
    Oh I need you
    God, I need you now.
    I need you now
    I need you now

    That'll be Wizzard :d

My band are re-working Plumb's Need You Now for playing our next gig using keyboards, drums and percussion, guitar and bass. Plumb's lyrics are so moving, which is why we're including it along with this which I'm presently listening to now.

Tonight I'm going to be singing this.

Lyrics translation Kelly Sweet's Nella Fantasia

In my imagination I see a just world,
They all live in peace and honesty.
I dream of souls who are always free,
    Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity at the bottom of the soul.

In my imagination I see a clear world,
Li also the night is less dark.
I dream of souls who are always free,
    Like the clouds that fly.
Full of humanity at the bottom of the soul.

In the fantasy there is a warm wind,
Blowing on the cities, as a friend.
I dream of souls who are always free,
    Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity at the bottom of the soul.

Mike Thank you for that. :)

I'm a fan of Estas Tonne, found on him busking in Madrid last year the week we were gigging in the capital. His music stopped me to listen and I was mesmerised. Here is a brief bio of Estas in a short video and one more. And then you'll be hooked.

A beautiful track by Airborn & Bogdan Vix - Kaleidoscope. I'm considering to write that into my band's repertoire.

Mirabelle you are hilarious! True, though.

I have this Seaboard Rise 49 and the Boss RC-505 Loop Station and want to show you guys its impressive capability. Once any song we've composed is programmed into the Loop, then we can sing in sequence. Heen-Wah Wai is very accomplished.

    Better demonstrated here

I recently went to see Pitch Perfect 3 and all week I've been listening to the soundtrack!

Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤
