You're too literal, junker. Sometimes things don't work rationally.

BlackArab, I'm not actually too sure what you're trying to say?

I'm saying that this thread reminds me of something else, nothing more.

I don't quite agree with the saying myself. Poverty is somewhat more of an issue than not being on drugs, I would have thought.

Not criticising sex of course, it's just that (as I said at the start) the idea that you can simply have good sex instead of doing drugs is rather naive.

wooooooooah, why would I need to be wasted to say that? I suppose, on reflection, society has always been divided into the attractive and unattractive but what are you supposed to do if you fall into the latter category? Just lay down and die? What if you don't even agree with people's judgements in the first place?
Firstly, what does all that have to do with the thread you started? Secondly, if you don't agree with people's judgements then surely you must realise that nobody really falls into any category. It's all subjective, so don't worry.

Just take a look at all the varieties of porn, everyone has different tastes. Its totally a matter of opinion who is attractive or not.

Well I guess attraction has quite a lot to do with sex, that's all. I agree that it's subjective.

Mate, the saying originated from a Fabulous Furry Freaky Bros cartoon, it was said in jest, don't take everything so seriously.

I guess what I mean is that, the answer to the original question is that everyone simply does what they like.

Well it seems from your previous comments that some people do only one or the other (or neither) simply because they don't want to. Which certainly explains a lot about the way I'm living my life, if nothing else.

The first is true, the second is open to interpretation. Besides, I don't understand why I should adopt a label I never chose to have in the first place. I'd much rather adopt the more positive label of: human being.

Was thinking maybe the first thing is true for some people because they can't be bothered (rather than genuinely can't)?

By can't be bothered, I mean deciding it's all so ridiculous that you decide simply to forget about it. I do not mean undersexed.

Look WLH ...i know some god damn ugly people ...who are in love ...some in lust ...at some point or points they get sex ...and you will too. Seriously ...you do not have to look like something off the cover of a magazine to get sex find love ...have fun ...discover happiness and anyone who tells you any different are very shallow indeed. I've never been an oil painting myself but i have never had any problem attracting the opposite sex.
I can think of a couple of extremely hansome men friends in my life who never scored ...when i ALWAYS did ...it used to drive them mad.
    It's about personality.
It will happen for you ...if you don't try to hard ...maybe not even try at all ...don't let it become an issue inside of you or it will show on the outside.
Have fun ...make other people feel good about themselves ...and you will make out ...thats a promise.

Ok, I'm getting to the point, it just requires a lot of thinking..

I think really it's just that sometimes I would prefer to do drugs, not per se but simply because it's all less hassle. People don't get so uptight about drugs, though obviously some people disapprove of them. For example in Shameless, when Marty has a go at someone for being too old to shag. But no-one's regarded as too old for drugs. I think it's stuff like that I'm getting at. Drugs is a pleasure that can last for a lifetime, sex isn't. (at least, this seems to be society's way of thinking). And yet, when you think about, there are awkward things about drugs, like making sure it's the right stuff, trying not to damage your health, etc. But then I'd be excluded from being judged because people would just think 'oh, he's into drugs, he's a drugs kind of person'. So then whether or not I've been laid would become irrelevant, or at least less relevant. I'm not even sure it'll last forever, we all go through phases and that. I would like particularly like to know if anyone on these boards is going through the same thing.

That probably seems like a strange and long-winded post, but is basically the burden I carry with me every day.

Reasons why this might be the case:

    - Drugs are not elitist. No-one is rejected. If they've got enough money, and know where to go, the drugs will not reject them.

    - As a system of pleasure, they do not depend on anyone being in the mood, or in the right place in the right time.

    - You are not sad if you pay for drugs. That's the idea!

    - Less of a problem if people make mistakes with it.

    - Less danger of being tricked, which I would define as someone only wanting to sleep with you because they are drunk or for your money. In the case of drugs, it would be the substance being cut with something else.

    Yeay or nay?

I suppose got me writing this is one time when they told us at college that we shouldn't take drugs, and should be having good sex instead. But in the real world good sex isn't available to everyone. Quite a few people either don't have any or they have to be drunk to do it.

So why not just do drugs?

    lol.........

I'm guessing you don't have a lot of sex
