Imogen (I'm sure there are others... but I can't think right now)
For boys:
James and Zachary.
Well that's what I'm going to call my children (if I'm lucky enough to have any) - even if the father doesn't agree
Dunno about boys names....i'll cross the bridge when i come to it.
At the moment, if we have kids, I think we would have a Niamh Rose and an Alexander. But, who knows. I may go off them if I have to teach horrible children with those names!
Boys: Fiachra, Conchur, Micheal, Dara, Sean, Daithi, Prionsais.
Anything Irish, it's a tradition in our family to name their kids with Irish names and I hope to continue that when I have them.
irish snobs i thought michael was english?
I'm sorry, but I could never call my child Deirdre. It just reminds me too much of her from Corrie and her big glasses
Lol, Michael is English, Micheal isn't.
Guess I'm lucky I don't watch soaps eh?
Yeah
same thing though, just swapping letters. Would that make my name irish if it was spelt racheal?
Hehe, I don't watch the soaps either, but she is just one character that stands out. And because I don't know anyone else with that name
Boys - Maxwell, Rhuaridh, Rhyss, Charlie, Felix, Elliot, Ronald.
ETA - More girly names! Lucinda and Polly.
No.
If I was being specific I would spell it Michéal. There's the wee symbol thing over the "e". Pronounced "Me-hall."
I like Oisin, and Eoin!
Yes another two good names.
how do you pronounce those?
two men in notting hill were talking about me when i was stood waiting for my mum thought i was irish because i had 'irish hair'! Was quite amusing listening to 2 strangers trying to figure out where you're from and attempt to speak german to you.
'ocean' and 'owen' If I remember!
Sorry if it's not.
Got the second one right.
Oisin is pronounced "Osh-een."
Boys - Tom, James.
Douglas for the first boy's middle name, Alice or Ruby for the girls' middle name.
Man, here was me thinking I was clever. Working in and speaking to an Irish dept for almost a year and I'm still clueless. HOHO.
My middle name is Alice :hyper:
Girls - Ingrid, Alva, Cecilia, Meredith, Penelope, Meabh, Caroline, Iona, Áine, Nenagh, Lorelei, Astrid, Vivienne, Marit, Agnes.
Boys - Stellan, Noah, Quinn, Vincent, Ivan, Ingo, Gregor, Hamish, Alistair, Edwin, Néall and others that I just can't think of at t'mo
Boys- Luke, Rhys, Alex
I am in an unfortunate position in that some names i dislike are influenced by patients i have nursed (or more often that not because of their parents!!)
Girl: Roisin, Brook, Sarah, Jane, Holly
Brig ... seriously that's taking the Neighbours thing a bit far
clicky
