History has shown us that a first release of a Windows operating system is rriddled with flaws, and im sure Vista will be no exception.
The only way i will get it is if i buy a new laptop.
I wont bother to buy it for home though, I work with computers all day, cant be arsed with them in my free time. I would rather go to the pub
I shall be getting it around September time. For two reasons:
1. It's my birthday, so china will be generous
2. Will want DX10 support for next year's gaming
Well that's another thing, if I want DX10 support properly I'd have to buy another card and throw away the 7950 GT OC that I bought just a few monhs ago. Bit of a waste of cash.
Ebay sellers are doing good deals!
And dont you want to be one of those special people who own one of the first PUBLIC copies!
I like your way of thinking.
Vista just installs loads of shit on your system and will permanently spy on you. Here is some fun reading for you Vista lovers.

If i won't - Who will be?
You know it is funny. Companies are advertising their computers as coming with Vista. Yet the standard computer now isn't powerful enough to run it a good efficient standard. Yes, when you load up you'll see the 'lovely' new gui but when you come to run a game, well, lets not even go there.
No. There's more chance of me selling my BBC reference speakers and headphones and using a crappy Alba mini-system.
Which is about as likely as me trading my motorbike for a Metro.
Not buying it, not using it, not recommending it. Not recommending any OS to people any more - I'll always tell them I use Linux, and love it to bits, but it's up to them what they use. I doubt I'll even request a free copy off MS this time - and they've sent me every OS since Win98.
Just realised something - MS have given me NT4, Win98, 98SE, Me, 2000, and XP - yet I still use Linux. Despite getting them all for free, I still choose open source. Aren't I great .
You could always request it and give it to a friend
*hint hint*
8 Days to go
Doesn't mean I'll use it though. I like my laptop how it is, tbh.
The next is Vista's EULA Product Activation Worries
the next is Forbidding Vistas: Windows licensing disserves the user
And then NSA Helps Microsoft with Windows Vista
I dunno bout you but I'd be worried using an operating system that the NSA has been involved with. I also do not like the fact that you are no longer able to use unsigned drivers, and the OS will call home and your be forced to have your system checked to see what software your running, because if your thinking of running the odd cracked version of software xxx, think again. There is loads of horrible stuff they force in you.
I also like how once you've installed it on an HDD, YOU CANNOT DELETE IT. Without a format. I no longer use it, repaired the Boot GUI, but, as it goes - in XP, I can't destory the fucking files. Despite the fact in Vista, I set it so anyone could amend them.
So my slave HDD is full of Vista wank.
But no doubt there will be those clever people who take these things out of Vista, but most likely for me i will get a vista disc may not be when it comes straight out but probley will because i format computers often
