I am sure that many people would read the last couple of pages on this thread and wonder why a group of adults would be spending so much time bullying and upsetting the young people for whom this site is designed.
You are all able to string a good debate together, and I would like to see the standard raised back to its previous high level. Hopefully the older users of these boards will be able to set a good example to the younger users.
It would be with deepest regret that I would find that fatteee felt bullied...on the other hand, we say things differently and perhaps by being deliberate it appeared so.

My take on the positions of Diesel and Thanatos Jr is that they are speaking of accepting responsibility for their choices and actions. Some will accept responsibility, and some wish to pass the blame to ANYONE else.
From my own life experience (not that it should matter to anyone here, but prefaces WHATEVER it is which I "proselytize"):
When I was 30 yrs old, and HEAVILY involved with making a carear of professional motorcycle racing, my wife took it upon herself to get pregnant against my spoken will, at the same time as two of her sisters. A form of passive/aggressive control. All three delivered within six weeks, and two on the same day.
I was WELL aware that becoming a father would initiate the end of my racing carear. NOT what I wanted. When my son was about two months old, his mother left and took him with her, then filed for divorce.
I fought for two years to get custody of my son, fought like hell, and suffered the extortion of paying off his mother's credit card bills three times before I finally gained custody of him. When he came to live with me, life as I knew it ENDED! I no longer raced at National and International championship events... and within a short time, even local events stopped.
It is about choices... making the conscious choice of whether or not you will be responsible for your actions, and the choices you make/made.
I made the "hard" choice, and for me, the RIGHT choice: I became a single father. I raised a son with the intent of his becoming competent, and responsible for HIS choices. Within the heritage that was passed on to me, my predecessors made mistakes, and then owned up to the consequences of those mistakes.
I do not make it generally known what my son and I went through, together, because it is NO ONE'S damned business but ours. Neither of us parade it in front of others. This is one of those rare moments when my tolerance of other's whining has been overcome.
I don't really give a damned what others think of my choice, because I am not so insecure as to live my life to please others. I made my choice for MY reasons. I am at peace with God...
If ANYONE is dealing with guilt, or other psychological after affects, then that person should understand that they have a problem SOMEWHERE within themselves with the choice they made, and THAT should indicate whether that choice was right or wrong. YOUR conscience should guide you, whether you allow it to, or not...
And some have not even a passing acquaintance with honor or integrity. Justify it as you will... if it is easier to take the life of your progeny (REGARDLESS of whether you are male OR female), and END it, rather than to accept the responsibility of your choices, then THAT should tell you something about your individual integrity.
Semantics be DAMNED... abortion is simply culturally excused murder, whether it is legal or not. Call it what it IS: if you must lie about it and put another name to it in order to excuse it, then you should be looking INWARD.
Responsibility for SELF is a theme which has been the basis of most of my posts within this forum, WHATEVER the subject of the thread. DISCIPLINE! Those who accept responsibility for themselves, I respect; those who WILL NOT, I have only disgust. Whowhere's preferance to murder a child rather than to support it comes as NO surprise to me... it is TOTALLY in keeping with what has been posted elsewhere, on other topics.

When exactly have I made a fuss about being treated like an adult/child?? I don't recall ever using the words "don't treat me like a child". In some ways I am an adult, and in others I am still a child. I have had a lot of stressful things to deal with, maybe not in your "superior" eyes. But tough for me to deal with.
As for the army boy comment, to me all American soldiers are equally worthless, regardless of what service they are in, they are different in name only, I am well aware that he is in the marines, but I know from my own experiences how Naval personnel hate being compared to their superior army comrades.
