In the red corner we have Pro-Life, an organisation which is funadmentally against abortion, (also euthanasia, cloning etc), which stands that 'everyone has the right to life'
and in the blue corner we have Pro-Choice, an organisation which for years has campaigned for abortion on demand, and 'a womans right to choose'
both organisations put pressure on various governments around the world in an effort to get their way (e.g George W Bush is a pro-lifer)
which one does everyone lean towards? at the mo' im sitting on the fence (quite painfully actually)
Lets get ready to rumble!!!!!

If i was in such a state that i could lead respectable life. By this i mean eating, going to the toilet and dressing myself, then i feel i should have the right to die. Its my life, why should it be up to other people to decide.
Im totally against abortion
Im totally for Euthanasia
My views are a little weird and often somewhere in between the traditional
Applied eugenics is what works...ask any farmer.

Abortion is a little trickier. I woiuld say no if it was jus cos the parent didn't want a child. But what about if the woman had been raped, for example?
Where do I stand? I'm swinging wildy on a rope above the ring
Baldogg, why are you against abortion but for euthenasia?
They are both the same thing, albeit the ages involved can be different, in both cases it involves the loss of life.
but you can never tell if it is for the best. far better to put a child out of the misery it will suffer and for it to die happy than for it to live in hell.
I aint sitting on the fence, I think that women should have the choice. However I think men should have a say in it too. Especially after what my bitch ex/ex-gf did to me
Or poverty? Why don't you look up any of the great minds of out time and for the most part they did not grow up in Ideal conditions.
Why don't we just kill everyone? Good idea isn't it?
Yep kill em all let God sort them out! oh sorry no-one here seems to believe in all that ok, so i shall be all alone up there then
haha, lemme guess, an American with superior morals, hmmm Pro-life?
You sound as well informed as Mr Bush himself. Maybe the child's life is still as sacred. But in the eyes of the rape victim, it often isn't. It can be seen as a reminder of the brutal event, and chances are will grow up unloved/despised by the parent.
Besides, you are hardly one to talk, being in the military means you are in the ultimate posistion for robbing people of life, without a choice. How do you justify that?
But then, what about the morning after pill? Some people are against that as they see it as a form of abortion.
What gets me is a lot of the people who are anti abortion also complain about teenage mothers and people scrounging off the state. You can't win.
Rape is a terrible crime, right up there with murder...no product of that activity need be tolerated.
Having known a few women who had abortions I can only say that they are the most screwed up mess of humanity I have ever met...and most just will not shut up about it!
Yep, the world is a very crowded place...that's why god made 'dasie cutters' (BLU-82). Makes you think that maybe a neuclear war could be a healthy thing for US all! And if we use neutron bombs the radiation is all gone in two weeks...leaving all the lovely cars and stuff useable!
Good morning cousins...it's off to the gun show today...3 hectars of guns & ammo for sale...for our shooting pleasure!

Sure you aren't one of those screwed up people yourself?
Thats the thing with you Yanks, like Thanatos. You advocate the use of guns, nukes, daisy cutters e.t.c. which kill unarmed children. But for some reason you are against the abortion of an unborn child, even if it is in the child's best interests.
You got me on that one champ...just don't know how to answer you. Kill the little kritter...he/she knows it's in its best interest. Whow, I'm truly amazed...the logic of it overwhelms me...hold the bitch down and use the coat hanger matey, it's for the children!

But what gets me, is that in a hospital, a massive team of doctors would be trying to save a baby born at 21 weeks, whilst in the same hospital, an abortion would be occuring at 24 weeks.
For me life begins when electrical impulses from the brain are delivered around the body, after all to determine death, the person has to be declared 'brain dead'
If the child will be born severely handicapped, or if the child grows up unloved, and resented/even hated by the mother then surely death is in it's best interest???
You keep telling us how the death of a traitor or member of the Taliban is in their best interest, why is this any different?
BUT...abortion really is a horrible procedure, and it often has many psycological effects on the mothers. As Diesel said, it does mess up quite a lot of people after they have had it done (and, I suppose, youd wonder why if it didnt hurt them emotionally).
Im for that, and euthanasia, but only just. I still get splinters in my arse
Hate to point this out, but a lot of abortion situations are created when contraception (be it the pill, condoms, whatever), fails, and is not 'irresponsibility'. Just cos a girl gets pregnant dont means shes been shagging around with no protection, you know.
Abortion and Euthanasia really arent even comparable. Abortion takes the life of a truly innocent unborn child without its consent. Euthanasia takes the life of someone who has made the choice to die and has lived their life for as long as they wanted.
Exactly who gave you the right to decide whats in the best interests of an unborn child? I always hear this argument about how its better to kill a child than have it brought up without love...THATS NOT YOUR DECISION TO MAKE
You say youre pro-choice but what of the choice of the baby? You clamour for the mothers choice to remove the childs choice. Doesnt that sound a little odd? Giving someone the choice to deny choice.
Kermit, when you say a lot you of course, mean a tiny percentage. Condoms have a failure rate of 1% as does the pill. There were 175,000 abortions in the England+Wales in 2000. Less than 3% of those were a result of failed contraception.

Yeah, but 1% of, say, 5million, is 50,000- quite a significant number. That was a side-issue, however, when I said women who get pregnant are not always the loose slag the media love to portray them as.
And condoms and the pill fail far more than 1%, however, because that figure is if they are used correctly. A significant minority of people dont use them entirely correctly.
Nobody said women that get pregnant without wishing it are sluts. Those who get preggers through failed contraception have my deepest sympathies and I can honestly admit I dont know what to do in that situation.
