feminism is the idea that men and women are equal, and by implication identical, which in my opinion they are not because we are not the same........men do some things better, women do other things better.......this has been proven in tests e.g. multitasking, spatial awareness........

i'm not saying women can't have careers or shouldn't, i just think they are being overly encouraged to rival men by becoming independent instead of being dependent on a man, like that is a bad thing, being a housewive is just soooo underrated to most youngsters and this change has only really happened in the last half century......they are being made to think power and earning money is the way to happiness, which isn't true cos men and women want different things to achieve happiness, (why do you think women have babies and not men i mean come on).....that's what i mean when i say sex roles are a biological construct, not a social one as the feminists would have you believe......

i honestly am guilty of being a feminist in some ways and i think that is the media influence, that women are goddesses, it's more of a subconscious thought because i know they're not.......

women can do what the hell they like as long as it doesnt get in my way or bother me, and if it does and i start shouting like a mad irate person, its not because its a woman i have a problem with, its because the person i have the problem with is a complete fucktard

Nah, there are several types of feminism and the term 'feminist' is soooo over-used.

Feminism is a political movement and also a social critique on things like social relations and gender roles... There as so many different angles you can take from that.

Like Amazon feminists who're more concerned with physical equality... How women are expected to act weak and helpless and they love female physical prowess (probably the most likely to be lesbians apart from seperatist feminists jk)... Radical feminists are more focussed on oppression and standing against that oppression... Sex positive feminists value more the sexual gratification of women and has no issues with pornography (of course as long as it's all safe), freedom of expression ect...

All very different branches of feminism. That's why personally it makes me angry when people complain about 'feminists'... When feminism is so much more complex than what it seems at first.

Obviously this is a disgrace to the nation! They should all get back in the kitchen and make pies and babies, the disgusting inferior sluts!

and by implication identical, which in my opinion they are not because we are not the same........men do some things better, women do other things better.......this has been proven in tests e.g. multitasking, spatial awareness........

    An award for Mr Obvious.

2+2=4, so does 3+1. Both are equal, and are deserving of equality, and should be treated the same. Of course some people are better st some things, but that isn't a gender divide, it's a genetic divide.

Or are we back to the women cooking and cleaning whilst the men do the "man's" work?

i'm not saying women can't have careers or shouldn't, i just think they are being overly encouraged to rival men by becoming independent instead of being dependent on a man, like that is a bad thing, being a housewive is just soooo underrated to most youngsters and this change has only really happened in the last half century......they are being made to think power and earning money is the way to happiness, which isn't true cos men and women want different things to achieve happiness, (why do you think women have babies and not men i mean come on).....that's what i mean when i say sex roles are a biological construct, not a social one as the feminists would have you believe......

    Words fail me.

"Dependant on a man?" Are you on smack or something?

Why shouldn't a woman be independent? Why shouldn't a woman keep a man? I'm temping, so am in unsteady employment, so I cook ande clean whilst t'missus goes off and earns the bacon. What's wrong with that?

Yes, women give birth, but after the first couple of months both parents are equally capable of parenting. If the woman wants a career, and the man wants to stop at home and bake cakes, why is that such a disgusting thing?

Equality is the freedom to choose.

i think that women are goddesses

No you don't. If you're going to be a mysogynistic prick, at least be honest about it.

No one should be "fulfilled" by having children. The purpose of a woman in life is not to fucking breed- nor are women who decide to remain child-free during their lives any less 'complete' or 'fulfilled' for doing so.

Pity anyone who thinks a woman is not "fulfilled" until she has bred some offspring...

Some good news - Susan Sontag has died. Posted in the spirit that the only good racist is a dead one.
No endorsement of views of BBC or British Israel should be inferred.

I'm not a Christian, so didn't look around. I googled sontag white race cancer, and their page was the one that was most explicit about her infamous racist quote. No endorsement...

The quality of nckdn's sources just continues to increase.

Why don't you just cut to the chase and quote from the BNP?

A source was only provided for those who didn't know about Sontag's hateful racism. I made explicit that I did not endorse the views of either source, and my posts show that I disapprove of racism. You understood that, but decided to have a pop at me anyway.
Had any genocidal racist fantasies today looney? Why not post them, you get away with it!

But someone who thinks that black people can't be English is obviously so STUPID that they can't grasp simple and obvious sarcasm.

Of course I think Black people can be English, I've said so explicitly on this board. I don't think anybody who posts on this board is stupid, but sometimes we act stupid by posting nasty messages. I did that to you in my last post, and I apologise. Good graphic, where do you find 'em?

I've only looked through a few pages of that site but from the few articles I've seen it appears to be rabidly anti-male, shrouded under the guise of 'feminism'.

The Spaniards were booing players who clearly were not Englishmen, and therefore shouldn't be playing for England. If they had been more aware of what Englishness is they might also have booed Wayne Rooney (Irish). If Michael Owen (Welsh) or Owen Hargreaves (Welsh/Canadian) played they should also have been booed. Possibly the Nevilles and Lampard are ringers too. Spain fielded Spaniards, England fielded a Commonwealth 11 (and were still outclassed).
The Black players were booed because they are not English. Most Blacks who have British citizenship identify as 'Black-British', 'Afro-Caribbean', or 'West Indian'. They do not claim to be English, and they are clearly not English. They have no business playing for England.
The English are a real, living nation and their identity and seperateness from the rest of the British and Commonwealth peoples should be respected and protected.

A good start IMO would be with what it says about domestic violence, how much of it is dedicated to male victims? The media always has women as the victims and although this may be the status quo in most circumstances, as men are made out to be in the minority shouldn't we get the usual 'minority rights' such as our own Minister for males against domestic violence? The media's obsession with 'sweeping it under the carpet' makes it even more difficult for male victims to feel like they can come forward and be believed.

For example, in Wales there is just ONE male refuge. How many do you think there are for women?
