been meaning to write about this for a while. A couple
of weeks ago my english teacher brought in some
newspapers for us to work on in class, one of the
articles said that maxine carr lives in ***,
which is less than 10 miles from me. People in the
class that live there said that she used to work in
Focus and someone punched her so she worked in Boots.
A few nights ago DP came in and told me that people
have been telling him, customers and colleagues, that
she works at the back of our local argos, (as in my
own town centre) and that four people have left
because of it. Just wondering how you'd feel? I know
that she didnt do anything 'technically' but i saw
about a fortnight ago her saying that she was still in
love with him etc which i found sick. I don't really
know if i want to use my argos store this xmas now as
way of protest, or if thats pointless. hATe the idea
she is so close to me.

She's not going to jump out of the bushes on a dark night, you know.
she's served her time, so let the poor woman get on with her life.
i'm sure she beats herself up about it enough without any amateur vigilates getting on the case.
Like any criminal she has served her time and now should be left completely alone.
Don't believe what you read in the papers.
No, I would have no objection to her living next door. She wasnt in any shape or form considered a threat against children.
even then, if she knew he killed those kids, she must have been absolutely terrified of what he could potentially do to her.
She isn't on your doorstep though is she? She is supposedly working in a shop in your local town centre. Whoop-de-do!
I wouldn't give a damn if she was my next door neighbour to be honest, I'd treat her just the same as I would anyone else.
I've always manintained that all she did was lie to protect the man she loved, something I think a lot of us would do in the circumstances. Yes, she made a mistake and she had paid for it.
I honestly don't see why it bothers you.
She has served her time. Let her live her life.
She was no threat to anyone. All she did was tell one lie.
And I would have no problems about her if she was living next door, never mind my local town.
Let her be.
I mean, come on, what was she really expecting her to do?
hehe. *stood in the customer services line*
but maxine carr said it took AAA batteries... it clearly states AA on the box!!
She didn't do anything to any kids EVER. She lied because she wanted to protect her b/f. Which quite frankly anyone would do, I can't imagine that she would have lied if she KNEW he did it.
but mothers who know the father is abusing their child, if they dont speak up, theyre equally as guilty as the father in my opinion
But, I must admit if I had kids, I wouldn't want her living near them at all, I have no valid justification for this or anything, but as a parent you want to protect your kids, and even the slightest hint of anything that could harm them would have to be removed. It makes no sense, it's just how i feel.
I know this is unfair, the woman didn't do anything, and i do feel sorry for her, but just the association with the case puts me off her.
NB. i know the sun lies, and i don't believe it's shit, but has Maxine come out officially to rebuke ian huntley and what he did? and rebuke the claims the sun has made? This would help her i think.
Not really, sometimes they are to scared of what he might do to them.
My nan knew what was going on when my grandad was abusing but she was in a state of denial.
Thank goodness for christian love or my family would have been torn apart.
No, it wouldn't help at all. No-one would believe her, irrespective of the Sun's actually reputation.
What about if you wanted to sell your house and people knew she was living next door? You wouldn't sell it would you? I wouldn't want to live next door to someone that was lied for a child murder.
No but she LIED to the court about her bloke murdering two innocent children. She's a disgrace.
No, she lied to the police, thinking her bloke to be innocent. You'd expect your bird to believe you if you said you didn't ahve anything to do with it wouldn't you?
yes, that's why she was done for purjury....
She's still a disgrace to the human race.
