i need your love.. 
tonight was the worst night i've ever had at work...
i only made 43 dollars in tips... (that was made in 8 and a half hours)
i didn't get home till 2 in the morning...
i got sexually harrassed numerous times...
almost every table yelled at me because their food didn't come out fast enough (and today was sweetest day so it's like one of the busiest days so the kitchen was backed up)
some asshole told me to wipe his hands for him as if he was soo much superior that i was..
and my boyfriend isn't here on sweetest day..
i need all of your peoples love...
kinda depressing that i turn to you people for love, eh?

I'm a bit of a miser, I'm not used to giving out tips so I wouldn't feel comfortable going to an American restraunt and giving out money over and above what was asked. I like to spend as little as is possible.
10% if they were shitty
15% if they were average
20% if they were good
more than 20% if they were amazing...
but like.. tonight just sucked because when i had ghetto people.. they would order TONS of food like.. one table had a $150 bill and only gave me $10...
and another table had $46 and gave me nothing...
but they were all ghetto.. and you don't really expect them to pay.. i guess you can say they're our version of your "chavs"
and like the guys that would hit on me or sexually harrass me would give me nothing b/c i wouldn't give them my number or anything like that...
eventually my manager had to kick people out for me b/c they were so disrespectful to me...
my total sales tonight was 517... and i only made 43.. like that's less than 10% and i should be getting at least 15%.. ya' know???

that's like what.... 1.50 euro's an hour?? i dunno how it works.. but your money is stronger than hours so i just picked a random number
so the government here says that servers can make less than minimum wage, but no less than 2.65, because tips make up for it..

I think generally though that the situation in the US is that if you don't tip then you're considered a bit stingey.
Though yes, in my opinion you get a tip if you deserve one.
