I happen to believe it does matter what people think and people do judge others from the way they look. That's life.
I personally think people wearing black give the impression like they're tring to hide the fact they're dirty.
I bit of colour is much more attractive. All black is weird.
most goths eventually start dressing less conspicuously at some point though, I guess at least theyve tried to be different and to annoy the oldies, rather than just look like they buy all their clothes from key west and river island their whole lives.

It's very easy to say that, are you honestly saying you don't judge anyone by their appearance? Not at all?
It's simple facts we're dealing in - people who dress differently are often treated differently because of it. It's a choice, it's not like if you've got a severe disability and get bullied because of it, in which case you can do fuck all about it.
Rightly or wrongly, it really is that simple. If you're determined to be an "individual" at all costs, then being laughed at is a natural consequence. You either deal with it, or change yourself.

I'm sorry if I didn't explain myself well... they call themselves goths... although they are just people who wear black shirts and jeans and wear black plastic bracelets. I'm sorry, that doesn't seem goth to me... And I don't thing goth is only a way of dressing, but that is just my opinion

People who dress to look like other people are not individual, at all. I wear what I like to wear, surely that should cover it.
Though anyone who calls me a townie or a chav gets a slap, because I'm anything but.

i have no problem at all with people who choose to dress in any of the alternative styles. or the rare people who actually are indvidual. they're cool as hell.
