queen victoria and all of the royal family,back in the old days,used to go along with the whole incest thing. when they had kids,every single one of them came out with a type of blood desease. this caused a lot of people,to this day,to have this blood disease which is now genetic. it is a proven fact that insect can and more than likely will result in birth defects/serious diseases that can result in possible death of the child.so if every one were to go around having sex with thier brother/sister and whatnot,and just happened to result in a new baby being brought into this world,and they were to grow up and have sex with a friend or someone else and had a baby,that next baby still has the possiblillity of coming down with a disease,and it will all the way down the entire family line,so again if every one were doing this,then our world would pretty much be fucked with how many people are getting pregnant these days. our population is rising by the second and we deffinately do not need it rising to the point of incest babies risking the population declining by the second with tons of diseases because of the act of sex between two relatives/siblings which just happened to result in a child.now i am sorry if you do not agree with me on any of this,but it is proven fact and if it were to happen,every one would be at risk

For your information and delight, the politics and debate forum is right here. I suggest that Chris uses that, but only after he learns how to properly formulate an argument.
Simply dismissing any opposing viewpoint as "invalid" because it does not agree with your own image of things is a fantastic way to "win". I'm afraid though that the victory is one that exists only in the mind of the person doing the winning, most other people would probably take a deep sigh and have a quick laugh, as I did.
Chris, we live in a world of law and social ethics. If you refuse to accept that either of those things can make a thing right or wrong, then you could, in theory, "win" almost any argument of this type.
However, it would be a shallow victory indeed, as to make it count for anything you would need to change the status quo from a position where the majority of people agree with the laws or social constructs, to one where they do not.
Sadly, whether you like it or not, in the case of incest, in order for you to change this situation, you would be the one given the weight of the burden to produce reasons why incest should be seen as acceptable, rather than others having to prove that it is unacceptable.
So by all means, state your reasons why the laws and social beliefs should be changed and allow us to debate it properly with you. Or, if you prefer, simply dismiss my entire post as "invalid" and sit smugly knowing that you have won. It would make little difference to me.

Well as I'm here I may as well throw my 2pence in.
You wonder if incest is always wrong. In some cultures it is acceptable but in ours it's a taboo. However, that doesn't keep it from happening. You say that this is not about procration, most of the time sex isnt about making babies your right there. BUT accidents happen do they not.
I'm confused as to why you bother with this so much, you say that you see nothing wrong with what they are doing yet you say you dont agree with it. Isnt that contradicting yourself just a little.
You personally may not see why its wrong, but everyone else here believe it to be morrally wrong and you have no right to say that their morral, opinions or belifes are wrong. Just as we have no right to say thats yours are wrong.
Thing is deary, you want us to give you proof that it is wrong, yet you have given us no proof that it is right.
Now in past pages when someone has said something about prove its right or what not, you have said "proove that driving a car is right" or something along those lines.

If people want to really debate the issues around incest, as has been done many times, then feel free to do it in this forum (politics & debate).
Posters should also remember to respond to other's comments. In particular the element of abuse within a family network that incest most often entails needs to be addressed if people here really want to discuss all the issues involved.

But after a while I realised what I was doing wrong, which was I wasnt reading the initial post enough. I automatically thought because someone started a topic like this one and didnt give me much info that they agreed with it.......so I lost my rag with them.
The times I have misread a post and took it the wrong way is unbeleivable and then I have to come here and hold my hands up and say 'hey I was wrong' or whatever.
So anyways criss what you could do if you really want to debate this subject in a proper manor would be to delete this thread and start a new one up in politic forum. One thing I would suggest though is that you research it more because if you cannot back up any of your arguments this lot in the politic forum will rip you to shreds.........dont say i didnt warn you
