Ok MaLkAv, you wanted some advice and I happy to oblige. There are several reasons why you can't get a date.
First of all, let get the goth thing out of the way. I can assure you that 95% of women would prefer to date a man who is somewhat manly. Leave the make-up and ruffled blouses to us girls. However, I realize that there are a small minority of women who may like goth style. If you can find one, great, but you sure are cutting your chances down.
Your second problem: women are NOT interested in men who sit around feeling sorry for themselves and who like to point it out to anyone who will listen. Your flippant comment, "oh and harry i tried to kill myself long before i even got into the goth scene," is most pathetic thing I've ever heard, and is a complete insult to those who have ever had suicide touch their lives. I suggest you tread lightly on the subject. Bragging about it makes you sound like a fool, and it sounds almost as if you arebuilding your entire identity (clothes, music, ideals, friends) around being depressed. I hope that isn't the case, but it does look like it from what you've said so far.
Problem number three: Women don't like liars. I'm not sure what possessed you to go on about your mmysterious job. Frankly, I don't care whether you are the CEO of some international marketing giant, or a student like your profile says. All I can tell you is that both the lying and the bragging are a real turn-off.
Problem #4: Women generally don't like men who are judgemental. The comments you made about drugs show that you are as judgemental as the people you are getting angry at! I'm happy to admit that I don't know much about the goth lifestyle, and I don't judge people because I don't know anything about it. I may say I don't like the outfits, but that doesn't mean I think that all goths are the same of that you aren't a nice person. I was really insulted by your sweeping generalizations about drug users. Obviously you don't know much about drug use and addiction, so kindly point your comments at a specific person or refrain from saying anything at all.
Anyway, I hope you can take a few bits of advice from this. My purpose is not to attack you (although I know I'm sounding a bit harsh)- I just wanted you to be able to see that your problem may not lie in the fact that women can't see what a great guy you are...it may be that you can't see the things you are doing to turn them off.

I could have worded the suicide thing better and i apologise for that- harry was trying to make out that it was marylin manson giving me ideas, when in truth that period of my life was well before i got into the goth scene.
plus just because i've mentioned i'm into goth music and dress a bit funny when i go out - everyone automatically assumes i'm a hardcore goth - which i'm not - i don't do all the makeup and stuff and i certainly don't wear it 24/7 like some people i know most of the time i wear normal clothes 7 days a week it's just that for a few hours on thursday night i like to go a bit mental.
and as for the whole job thing - i dropped out of uni to do this advertising and marketing job (yes my profile is out of date and needs updating) - I'm Self employed so technically i am running my own firm. and i do make quite a lot of money out of it.
basically i said a lot of stuff through anger - and if anyone (apart from daze) was offended in anyway i apologise profusely

as for harry and turtle - choosing the lifestyle i have you expect some people to make comments and not like it - and mostly i just ignore them, i'm happy with the way i live my life. but people who are like daze i cannot stand - i'll admit there are a certain type of people who should be wiped out and that are those people who are prejudiced to the point of genocide about ANY type of person be it black people, white people, goths, trendies - the list goes on and on, all have the right to do what they want to do (if those things are against the law then that's up to them) but no-one has the right to say that one type of people should be exterminated - we went through that already in the history of this world - that was one of the main points of WW2 - and a lot of people died to stop that - yet some people refuse to learn from the mistakes of the past
anyway i'm babbling now so i'm going to go

Malkav, you really need to get ur arguments in order. You begin one post by saying that

Next paragraph:

rachael, i agree with what you said. you seem to be the only regular here to disagree with another regular. i also dont agee with daze's views about goths. ok so some manson worshippers who cut themselves for a reaction just like he does on stage, and who are typical "goths".. yeah they're a bit odd. but did malkav ever say that he was like that? no. he said that he was getting into liking music such as rock and goth. its a type of MUSIC people, get some perspective!
malkav asked a question that is a valid one in a post abotu relationships. he didnt ask anyone to judge him on any aspect of his life. he merely said how girls seem to think of him as a "nice guy" and not as a prospective boyfriend. this is the issue here, not what kind of music he likes or what clothes he wears!! hes already said that the girls he likes like the same kind of thing he does, just that they already have boyfriends or see him as a friend.
everyone seems to have lost the plot and keep on about how goths should be killed and it has gone totally insane. everyone's getting a bit wound up, malkav is undestandably pissed off at the way he he has been reacted to on a site that is supposed to offer support, not judge him and flame him and say that all people like him should be killed. this is not fair, everyone shoudl just take a look at themselves and see if they would have reacted the same if daze had said that all gays or blacks should be wiped out. my feeling is no. just because those are recognised groups that the hatred of is considered to be well known and disgusting. hatred of any kind of group is wrong, and we should not be sitting here agreeing with it!!
