Re: Don't know know what to do anymore
@TheNightmare - we have all seen how motivated you are to get into work and improve your situation, both in life and mentally - and for that we are all super proud of you. If you feel like therapy could be a potentially good thing for you, it may be worth having a proper conversation with your doctor/GP about it all so that they can properly advise you on how you may go about it and whether or not it is the right thing for you.
in the mean time sending you even more of those virtual hugs we all give out here and remember to try and take it easy and be kind to your mind (easier said than done i know) and that we are all here to support you as much as you need, so don't worry about sounding repetitive - we'll listen each and every time

Re: Potentially looking for a future 🤷🏽♀️
@Lottie5433 just wanted to basically say the same thing as @amy02 - the best way to make a decision is to get as much information about it all as possible. there is no harm in messaging your old uni mentor and seeing if they can inform you about how things might look if you were to return for postgrad study. fingers crossed you're able to figure out what will be best for you - and remember there is nothing wrong with taking a bit of time to make the decision, as it is all about what works for you.
hopefully you get clarity on it all in the new year

Re: I can’t remember how to be me
Gosh sending big hugs @AnonymousToe I can understand how exhausting that must be for you
Would it be possible for you to carve out some time just to be alone and do things that you enjoy? I definitely know I need this sort of time when being in prolonged social situations
We're here for you

Re: Potentially looking for a future 🤷🏽♀️
Hi @Lottie5433 thanks for sharing with us
I can understand why you feel a little lost at the moment, I was in a similar situation when I finished uni
I suppose the best way to figure this out is to get as much information as possible - knowing what kind of support you could get at postgraduate would be useful to know. Hopefully your mentor would be able to help with that
Keep us updated with how you get on - we're here for you

Sending hugs @Amy22 it sounds like this is an easy mistake to make and it wasn't done with any bad intention
We're here for you

Re: 🛡️ Our new Confidentiality Policy (explained)
Just hopping in here to say @shannonxg_ is right
To answer your initial question @Faolan, "I'm safe" doesn't work as a catch-all "don't worry about me" message - context and how someone is presenting is always considered. We generally trust members of this community with their own safety, so if someone tells us they feel safe, we believe that unless they've shared something else that directly contradicts it.
Some people may be in crisis and choose not tell us (or tell us they're safe when they're not), and that's something we accept as part of the process. One of the reasons we try to be transparent about how safeguarding and confidentiality work here is so people can see where our boundaries are, then decide how much they want to share and what would be most helpful for them.
If someone's safety is unclear, staff might decide to have a private conversation with them to find out more information. We might also explore what their version of 'safe' looks like, what might move them to that place of safety, and share other support options.
