Re: Just a quick hello!
Hey @Cosycore_Witch it's great to meet you!. I also love your pfp so much and it's super pretty!. I also love listening to music and playing video games. What kind of video games have you been playing at the moment?. I also love books and tea too (green tea is my favourite with morrocan mint!).
I look forward to seeing you around on the boards.
Sending hugs,
Amy22

Re: The poem spot
Hi @Loz your poetry is truly beautiful as you have a wonderful way with words- it is very brave of you to post how you feel.
I noticed you mentioned SH within your poem and while I am not able to offer advice on this matter I can signpost you to some very useful organisations. The organisation Mind has a great article with some tips on coping with urges to SH. There are also apps like Calm Harm and distrACT with tips and techniques on coping with SH that you might like to look into.
We care for you and just want to make sure you are keeping yourself safe. Keep reaching out and remember you are never alone

Re: Doing nothing (vent)
Like Laura said, it can be hard to feel like you're doing nothing. I took a year out after my degree before starting my masters and felt guilty for days I wasn't as productive. It's totally okay to feel the way you do.
As far away as it might seem, a time will come where things start to fall into place and you'll find that purpose or passion in life to do things again. But in the mean time remember to take care of yourselves both physically and mentally, and if you need more support, do keep reaching out
Sending big hugs

Re: Doing nothing (vent)
I can hear you are both really struggling at the moment @AnonymousToe and @FordRanger. In all honesty, although work can be busy sometimes, unemployment was the hardest time for me too. It is really important for you both to take care of yourselves during this difficult time and keep hope - though that can be easier said than done! We really care about both of you. What might self-care look like for you both at the moment?

Re: Something I dont really talk about
@Rose113 I can't begin to imagine the feelings you went through during that time at school. But what I do want to say is you absolutely didnt deserve it and I'm proud of you for both getting through what you did and opening up to on here now. It takes real courage to do so
As for what you said about not fighting back, its more common than you may think. You may have heard of the idea of a 'fight or flight' response when we are faced with threatening situations, and people act differently depending on the person. As part of that, some people just freeze, not because they don't want to fight back, but thats just the immediate response the brain goes to. So don't think you let them do it because you didnt 'fight back' so to speak.
But regardless, you are incredibly strong for getting through the things you have, and the fact you returned to school is a HUGE achievement in itself, even if you still feel anxious. You made that first step and you should feel proud that you did.
Sending lots of hugs and I hope you're doing okay
Continue to reach out to us when you need - we are all always an ear to listen

Re: Crying in bed
sounds like you're one step closer to getting a job - which is amazing. Although it can be a little disheartening to not get the jobs we apply for, you're definitely on the path to finding something. It's only a matter of time i'm sure of it.
Keep going with applying and at some point you'll get it
