Re: my mum. :( ( addiction )
@eylah yay! i'm rrly glad to hear she's getting better, that was very brave for her to do. It must of been very difficult for ur when ur mum was going through a hard time, how have u been feeling lately? it must be a lot to process.

Re: my mum. :( ( addiction )
im so sorry to hear your mum has been poorly, it sounds like it has been a lot for you to deal with over the past few months. its lovely to see that you have been able to share your feeling on here throughout.
I'm glad to hear she is progressing well it sounds positive!

Re: General chit chat
@amy22 that sounds like a really fun and exciting night! I hope you have a lovely time with your friends.
I think the best part about karoke is you don't have to be a great singer as its more about enjoying yourself and having fun

Re: Results and resit
@Rose113 hey, well done on ur results! honestly as cringe as this sounds the best things to do in these situations is to go with ur gut, do u think you'd feel confident to resit another maths paper? you'd have quite a bit time to do some work on ur weaker areas for example paper 1 being ur lowest mark of all 3 u could spend more time getting confident with paper 1 topics alternatively u did well on paper 3 so u could work on boosting ur stronger areas even more! alternatively, if ur mum is happy to pay for a remark it is definitely worth seeing if you've had marks missed as there's lots of cases where ppl have got a higher mark after remarks. Overall, the best thing to do is making sure whatever u end up doing is what U want to do and what u feel happy doing !
Re: Preparing for uni
Im sorry to here you are feeling overwhelmed with how much you have to do before you start, try and remember a lot of those are a learning curve and an ongoing process throughout your time at uni ( im in my 3rd year and I still feel as though im learning to be independent and still can't cook lol
). It's easy to feel like you need to have it all sorted and be fully independent before you start but you will grow and grow in independence throughout uni it might just take time to adjust.
Also, most university courses start from the basics as not everyone will have studied a level in the subject so try and not stress about what you have forgotten as you will likely be able to build on your knowledge in the first year. I know personally I didn't study psychology before university and found the vast majority of the content was covered at beginners level.
University is a great place to make friends, especially in the first couple of weeks/ months as everyone is in the same boat and looking to make friends, there is also such a diverse group of people with lots of different interests and lots of environments to mix with people.
If there is anything you want advice or reassurance about I am here for you and will help where I can

@Rose113 you could always resit your exam too but as long as you feel ready and comfortable to resit it as well. Resitting your exam is a personal choice and you shouldn't feel pressured into resitting an exam if you don't want to. I'm always here too if you need any help with things
