Re: How are you?
Hey @IainJammyboy and @FordRanger
It's great to see that you both feel comfortable enough to share with the community how you're feeling and it's especially positive to see that you're checking in to see what's going on with other members as well @FordRanger; supporting each other like that goes a long way!
I second what @Sunshine12 said, this is a safe space and we're here to listen whenever you're ready to share what's going on in your life, @IainJammyboy . I understand that numbness can make it difficult to interact with the world so well done for using the boards to talk about your life - we're always happy to help, if possible.
I'm sorry that the job hunting process has not been easy for you, it can be very daunting to be faced with rejection or with not being able to find anything that feels "right" for you. Feel free to let us know if you'd like to talk a little bit more about what issues you're facing, maybe we could be able to help

Re: Getting sorted
your wording is fine @FordRanger my brain just isnt processing words very well 😭😭😭 i feel like my brains deteriorating. anyway yeah i didn't leave i just went suuuper quiet for a while. but yeah keep me updated on the job situation and stuff, im always here if u need to talk!

Re: Getting sorted
@FordRanger How have you been finding that? I'm currently searching for a job too and I have found it really testing on me. What do you do in your spare time?
But volunteering has really been useful for me, as I honestly do it as a hobby in my spare time and it has given me self-confidence to talk to strangers and be in situations I wouldn't normally like. Something will turn up for you. Try not to lose hope.

Re: Getting sorted
Heya @FordRanger I haven't spoken to u in a while! My adhd is playing up and I'm struggling to read your post lol but i recall u struggling with jobs a while ago too so I just wanted to say that I wish u luck and I hope you're ok

Re: BPD Suspicions + Relationship Boundaries
@celestial_dog hey, hope ur doing okay. Just wanted to reassure u that there is absolutely nothing wrong with researching about conditions to try and understand ur feelings more just like how self-diagnosing is valid if u don't have good access to the resources for a valid diagnosis, of course the actual diagnosis is preferred but that isn't always possible! I agree with the others, i feel like discussing ur symptoms with ur GP could be very helpful and hopefully could be a relief, whether it leads to a diagnosis, or u find out ur symptoms are a result of a life event/trigger, i hope it helps u

Re: BPD Suspicions + Relationship Boundaries
Hey @celestial_dog you're doing so well to reach out - it sounds like you've had a rough old time of it lately.
I echo what has been said previously that it must feel frustrating that various medications haven't worked for you. You're doing so well to keep advocating for yourself. I also wonder if your GP might be a good port of call here to discuss the research you've done and where you feel you're at. I hear there's a part of you that feels like things have gotten out of hand, and so I sense that getting better is something you want to hold on to and that's important. So it is really positive to hear that you are open to learning more about other options you can access, alongside us, for support.
I'm just aware you mentioned in your post that you've been experiencing suicidal ideations. It's really brave of you to share this with us. Can I ask whether you feel like you can keep yourself safe from those thoughts?
Remember that there are lots of lovely services you can reach out to:

Re: If u think u FUBAR
Hey @ellie2000 people can often forget about other people's mistakes as time goes on - everyone makes mistakes after all!
If it's quite a big mistake or in a work situation your manager will likely mention it at first but then hope you learn from the situation. It is likely they will mention it later on if the same mistake happens again though. Hope this helps
