What is your favourite christmas song?
Lots of things bring people joy at this time of year, but for me a big one is christmas songs.
I miss christmas songs all year, and finally allow myself to start listening to them in November (some may think that’s early, but i love them).
My favourite christmas song is merry christmas by Ed Sheeran and Elton John. I’m listening to it as i type this
Other highlights include baby it’s cold outside (the version with Meghan Trainor in it is my favourite, but other versions are fine), cold December night by Michael Buble, one more sleep by Leona Lewis, and Michael Buble’s version of silent night.
I also like a couple of more obscure ones, namely when christmas comes around by Matt Terry, and the one i can never spell, Mele Kalikimaka by Bing Crosby. In fact there’s loads, i couldn’t list them all
What is your favourite christmas song? And when do you start listening to them?
Bonus question: are there any christmas songs that you’re not so keen on? Last christmas by wham drives me nuts every year!!

Re: Just don't want to be here anymore
@Invisible_me The fact is, you mentioned she said "you have autism and i.cant be sure you'll carry on making progress and have.more good days then bad days". The fact that, you have autism, was even raised in a meeting where a termination happened is insane, and very likely goes against anti discrimination laws. That shouldn't have even come into the conversation or been raised, it should just have been about performance. The fact it was is a huge red flag.
so there's a few support and advocacy services i've found.
1) Citizens advice can give a lot of advice around this, as they deal with employment related things and terminations all the time. They can be contacted here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/
2) There's a specialised support service for helping people who face disability discrimination, called the Equality Advisory Support Service who can be found here: https://www.equalityadvisoryservice.com/
3) There's also acas who can give advice surrounding work terminations too, who can be contacted here: https://www.acas.org.uk/advice
4) Another group who can possibly help with advice and support, and pointing you in the right direction on things is the national autistic society, who can be contacted here: https://www.autism.org.uk/contact-us
These should be able to help you with this, and help advocate for you, and can help with next steps. You don't have to face this sort of thing alone, and i'm here if you want to chat about things, cause i know it must be extremely difficult for you right now, and the pressure of the 5 day deadline must be really hard too.

Re: Feeling Alone During Christmas
what a great post - a reminder that it's okay for us to not feel happy all the time at this time of year and that we should just take things slow and be kind to ourselves.
hope you're all doing okay today
Thank you Sinead , I hope youve been well
Re: Anybody want to vent or chat about anything? w/c 15.12.25
@Nemuritai thanks a million. The session was quite long, they extended it twice, but i got nearly everything across thankfully, so there bringing everything back to the MDT to determine what next. They can see the damage the whole system has done to me, and the extent of what i've gone through.
Also, i just wanted to say that you're giving so much support to others, i'm here if you want to talk about things too and get support for yourself too.
@Nathan no problem at all. I'm genuinely happy you were able to get things across and talk about what happened. I really hope you're able to get some support, you really do deserve it.
And I really appreciate that, it does mean a lot
