Re: Finishing off on The Mix
Hi @TheNightmare I'd just like to echo what the others have said but I have personally seen how much you have grown on this platform and how helpful your advice and support has been for other members- and that's what the Mix is all about!
I can understand your concerns about leaving the safety net of the Mix but there are definitely some other platforms that are suitable for over 25s that you might be interested in. One option I know has good recommendations is https://sidebyside.mind.org.uk/ which is a platform run by Mind. You still have time to browse around for which support network seems best for you.
Hope this helps

Re: Finishing off on The Mix
@independent_ is totally correct as usual ^
Just a general note that I moved this over to Health & Wellbeing. Truthfully I'm not sure where these posts should go, but H&WB feels more suitable than Help Desk for some reason. 🤔
I'm a bit swept up in other things right now which is why this reply is just a quick one, but I want to say @TheNightmare that genuinely, the growth we've seen in you here is remarkable and I'm really glad you're taking so much from this community. I'll let our other members chip in with any advice and I might circle back to this when I get another moment!

you've been so strong with everything you're going through, and fingers crossed they are able to find a way to make her better.

Re: Adhd meds are working and im actually able to do stuff ^-^
Hi @dZhenGa , I hope you are alright.
It sounds like you had a difficult time trying to get a diagnosis for ADHD. It is a very lengthy process, however if you are having concerns then it would be best to try and speak to your local gp/doctor about it. Remember, do NOT self diagnose but instead try to gain a better understanding as to why you could be behaving in certain ways etc! This could be through referral of a GP to an ADHD assessment (which is a long term fix), or you can self-refer for counselling online (quick and easy process).
In regards to the medication, please be very careful.
ADHD medications need careful monitoring, so from my own personal advice, I would advise you not to take them without supervision of a doctor or pharmacist.
I'm a future pharmacist here- not fully trained, however enough experience to tell you to be careful!
It is great that believe you are feeling better, however remember these medications do have side effects.
First line of treatment for ADHD is usually CBT/therapy. If your signs/symptoms escalate you may be referred for medication - however this is ONLY on supervision of a GP.
I hope you understand that I am just looking out for you!

Re: Being lesbian and feeling confused
Hi @mistyinthesky I'd just like to say well done for reaching out to the community as it can be scary posting on here at first. It sounds like you are discovering what you like in a partner whether it be boys or girls and that is perfectly normal. From what you have said it seems you are more interested in pursuing something with a girl and can envision a future with them, whereas with a boy it sounds like you're more unsure. At this stage it's entirely okay because it is all about self- discovery. I would suggest exploring how you feel and if you feel a connection then pursue it! Remember don't feel like you have to fit a label to fit society's standards. Love is a spectrum so you may not be entirely one nor the other- that's what makes it so fun and exciting.
At the same time, I can understand your feelings of frustration hearing your friends talk about their heterosexual relationships because it is more widely talked about in society. However, don't let that discourage you from finding someone. Finding someone can be difficult especially when you have to consider whether the girl shares similar feelings, but there is no rush with this and take your time until you're ready to come out to those around you. Often we find that special someone when we're not even looking, so I can assure you love will find your way.
I hope this reassured you some what. Let us know how you get on- we are always here if you need someone to talk to

Re: Livestreamed discussion about self-diagnosing ADHD (details in post!)
@JustV this looks really interesting. It’s the night before I go on holiday so I’m not sure if I’d be able to go. Do you know if there’s a way to watch it after it’s streamed?

Could also be that the person replying quoted a comment which tagged you. For some stupid reason it continues to tag the person and doesn't recognise that's it's a quote
