Just wanted to check in to see how you are doing? We are here for you and we care about you.
Sending hugs
Also I don't know how I feel about them saying "take care" at the end...
I smell sarcasm
Hey @Past User, I'm so sorry that you've had this experience. That's absolutely so horrible and completely wrong of them to do that. Was this a phone call or a webchat?
I wanted to make you aware of one option you have which is to make a formal complaint to Samaritans for what they said to you during that interaction. Samaritans are very likely to have their own standards and expectations for helpline volunteers, just like we do here at The Mix, and I'd safely assume making comments such as that goes against their agreed expectations and I imagine left you feeling even more unsafe in that moment when you had already contacted them in crisis?
The process, if you're wanting to explore that at all, can be found here: https://www.samaritans.org/feedback/complaints-concerns-and-feedback/service/
I'm pleased you're here with us Morgyn; know we're all on your side too.
