i'm nto to sure how to resize them atm, if they are too big again let me no and i'll change them
If not feel free to just post the photobucket links rather than up them as an image? Though ideally we'll figure out how you can resize them
i use photoshop cs3 mainly but also some macromedia fireworks occasinaly
Have a gander at this, if you have the "constrain proportions box ticked" then if you change one value, it will always change the other value in proportion to it.
real help
i'll try and change those pics as soon as possible
might be a few days as i got exams for awhile
s'ok, don't worry about those ones - just remember for future postings.

I'd also rotate it clockwise just a wee bit so that the vertical lines are straight
i've also cropped it but not put up a link for it yet,
also i'm not sure about rotating it tbh, i've looked it at when i've done that and it really changes the image and i don't really like it
would be good on other images though
This one is good, looks it was taken off the Railway viaduct outside Glossop?
I'm doing a shoot tomorrow so i'll put the photos up sometime during the next week, gotta take like around 100-200 photos for this one though
Ahh ok. The reason it would benefit from the filter is to avoid situations like your Lochranza photo where the sky to the top right has blown out.
You can do some stuff in post processing, but if your highlights were blown in the original shot then you can't ever get that detail because it won't have been recorded in the first place. If you can't use a filter because of the type of camera, then you could whack the camera on a tripod and take the same shot a few times with exposure bracketing, and merge them in post to get the most detail / dynamic range.
Tripods are great for macro stuff. Essential in some cases, I think.
The only problem with them outside is that they can get in the way a bit. Both literally and in terms of spontenaity.
or if i use a long shutter speed
Man I'm good
Unless you are shooting in great light at a decent speed I agree that a tripod really is essential, even the tiniest movement in the camera during the exposure just ruins it and as much stability as possible is needed. Personally I need another tripod because the one I have now is very cheap and nasty and while it was fine for a Compact it is slightly unstable with a SLR and has seen better days.
I'm lucky in that my new SLR does low light very well and is more than happy shooting at 1/8 @ 1600ISO without producing much in the way of noise.
Anyway, I'll put a couple of mine up:
View across Blackfriars Bridge in London. The noise flared up a bit on this one because of the fog:
This one was taken in Ely. Shows a train making its way across the flat landscape:
This one was taken in York Railway station on New Years Eve while I was waiting for a train home. Shows a solitary passenger observing the information screens.
This final one shows the Brunel built Royal Albert Bridge in Saltash:
PS: Coolme, have a great time in Barcelona!
I'm looking forward to doing part of the project where you use a tripod and move the camera slightly to capture the whole 'scene' and then PS it together
entered them in a compertition at college and i'm hopeful
other people have just done cliched ones of snowmen and the like
