    I love how the colours really 'pop' on the third, and the fourth is as awesome for its subject as it is for the composition :D

    Unfortunately, some of my best ones are for college, but they're pictures of cops and I agreed not to post them on the internet. As for the one I've already done, no idea who he is. He doesn't look happy though lol.

    Thanks guys. I'm currently doing an evening BTEC as a mature student at college, will be carrying on into a second year if i can afford to.

    I use a Canon 400D and a variety of lenses. The circuit board and the last ring were taken with a Sigma Macro Lens, the rest with the 18-55mm kit lens that came with the camera. Although I've just replaced it with a Canon Ultrasonic 28-105mm lens. (Only £130 but a noticeably better lens!) I've also got a variety of filters, although the circular polariser is the only one I ever use.

    The 400d with decent lenses is a kick ass camera, and at a decent price. Nothing else available yet in that price range that comes close. No point getting the 450d and the 1000d, Features wise they aren't really any improvement but still cost a fair bit more.

    I own the 450D - I wouldn't say 'avoid' - it's pretty much the 400D with additional features which if you have the money, you may as well plump for IMO, but certainly second hand you'll get a 400D for less.

    That looks amazing. I can never get my icing like that. Where did you get the dinosuars from? I dont remember seeing anything like it in the shops.

    They were on ebay at some point but don't know if they still are. Have seen them around and about other online cake shops though :)
