My bad. I keep forgetting things have different names
An oreo is a chocolate sandwich cookie with a cream center.picture
They also (or at least used to) come in flavors of, vanila cookies and vanilla center, chocolate cookies with: mint and cream, coffee and cream and also chocolate centers.
Not as nice as pizza express marscapone cheesecake though, or their chocolate fudge cake with cream.
yeah, why is that?! cos every time i go i forget and try to put my card in the machine only to have it snatched off me and swiped somewhere else!!
Yeah so what's your fucking point...
That's true.
Food colourant cochineal is made from ground beetles. Red smarties contain this I think.
And Guiness contains isinglass - an ingredient extracted from fish bladders. True.
:eek2:
I've seen at least half a dozen people driving THE WRONG WAY ROUND A ROUNDABOUT and the WRONG WAY DOWN A DUAL CARRIAGEWAY. That's what makes me really really angry.
You only say that because apperantly you do not have cooooookie crisp :hyper:
Oh, speaking of, they took the burglers off the advertising and box and put that stupid dog on, that makes me angry too. The burglers used to steal cookie crisp. Somebody must have complained it wasn't proper. Dumbasses.
Can't speak to the Guiness but it's true about the Smarties - Cochineal and carmine (or carminic acid) is made from the Dactylopius coccus - a beetle that inhabits the Opunita cactus.
It's commonly called E120 and is used in red smarties - which means smarties fail to be either Kosher or vegetarian.
I have heard that very few people still use the colouring in other foods due to a fear of links to hyperactivity.
(Many thanks to snopes and wikipedia)
That would make one nasty cereal
albumin: derived from eggs or dried blood
casein/caseinate: derived from milk
charcoal: sometimes derived from bone
colourings: sometimes derived from insects
glyceryl monostearate: an anti-foaming agent that sometimes is an animal derivative
isinglass: swim bladders from fish
lactose and lactobacillus (lactic acid)
gelatin: made from bones, skins and tendons
pepsin: a heading agent sometimes derived from pork
sugar: white sugar is often whitened using bone charcoal
Some refined sugars use bone charcoal as a decolourant. In the UK Tate and Lyle and Billingtons sugars are free of animal substances. British Sugar, trading as Silver Spoon (the largest UK supplier) state that their white sugar is vegan but they cannot guarantee their brown sugars as some bone charcoal may be used by their suppliers. No data is presently available concerning sugar in other countries.

Which means that quite a large number of wines and beers arn't suitable for vegetarians.
When people have tuna at work.
I think I'm going to hurl :sour:
They sell them here. Have a look-see in Sainsburys. That's where I get my supplies. I recommend. Think a cross between a bourbon and a custard cream, but 10 times nicer :thumb:
Things that make me angry:
People who walk along quite happily in town on a busy day, then STOP SUDDENLY, ususally in a doorway, or just as they get off the escalator. :banghead:
People who think they are so terribly interesting/cool that they must have their conversations at 300 decibles as we must all care so much about what they got up to last night. You aren't. And we don't.
Pedestrians waiting to cross a busy road who stick their infant, in pushchair, out into the road in front of them. :shocking:
Stealth mushrooms.
80% of motorists in Leeds.
People who eat their crisps out of the wrong end of the bag (this one's probably a bit irrational)
People who scream and swear at their tiny, tiny child for doing something really harmless and un-naughty, like accidentally applying their choc bar as make-up whilst trying to eat it
Oh I hate that  Oh people that do that should be beaten. Most of the time I'll just push them out of the way angrily r give them a hard smack with my purse as I walk around.
And similar, people that walk very very slowly when theres no way to get around them.
- walk right in the middle of the pavement
- when they're with their friends, they all walk in a line so that I either have to walk very slow or walk out into the road just to get past them
-people who walk as slow a spossible. If this happens in school, I always get the younger ones pushing me. They then ignore me if I tell them not to push...
-children who ask me if can buy cigarettes for them. Yeah, of course I'm going to do that when it's illegal:rolleyes:
And there's always a huge group of them stretched out across the pavement so you REALLY can't get past. And they don't know what 'excuse me' means.
Also people who are in the way and glare at you when you say (perfectly nicely) excuse me.
I really hate that as well.
Did you do something you shouldn't have done, or are they just being mean to you?:p
I make this face :grump:
