Sure, it happens. Liberalise sexual ethics and guys will boast about their conquests - nothing that can be done about that, other than return to "traditional values"...which is not going to happen.
I'm more interested in how your brain interprets my previous post to claim recreational sex can only do wonders for your health, tbh.
As for groping in a clubs i don't think it's worthy of prosecution as a rule and as for "hollering abuse", you're talking shit.
dont just blame lads mags for all of societies problems, they just sum up immaturity imo
not that theres anything wrong in a bit of silly fun
Come on, name and shame!
It's possible to be liberal about sex and not have the attitude that notches on bedposts equates to masculinity.
Other countries manage it fine.
You're always in such a rush to say that people who don't sleep around are socially inadequate, which I believe is the EXACT phrase you used in the sex forum- the emphasis being, of course, that real men shag around and if they don't there's something wrong with them.
That's not what you said before, you basically said that, well, some girls like it so there's nothing wrong with it.

yeh, i feel quite mauscline and are proud to admit my only notch is my very lovely girlfriend
i think im well within my rights to be able to crack one off to the sight of sexy and barely clad women
and if it means i have to reach up an extra shelf, hey it could be worse, i mean i could actually be buying real porn, that comes in at incredibly more than the couple of quid i spend on zoo
exactly
It's not. Men will always boast about their conquests - just as people will boast about anything they have going for them. To think otherwise is just neive.
Yeah, right.
You're probably referring to something i said about people in who abstain from sex completely after a certain age - that personal issues are often a factor. That's pretty much evident from observation.
Having people whistle at them? Yeah, sure...of course plenty of girls like it. There's a line between that and leud abuse though.
You're making the mistake of assuming that what happens in our culture is somehow "natural".
Some is, some isn't. Men wanting to shag lots of women clearly is - although it's no surprise you'd disagree, what with your agenda an' all.
What is "my agenda" btw?
Moreover, if you got a lot of spare time and energy to expend on Mary Whitehouse-esque crusades, slaying filth and smut at every turn, then at least have a target in your sights that’s going to make a difference. Also, while we’re immersing ourselves in the world of the ridiculous we might start by banning all soaps, reality shows, political parties, informative leaflets, alcohol (or anything else you can think of that might expose your kids to a way of life you don’t agree / approve of) for presenting a skewed version of the world (as you see it) to them. God forbid we let people alone to make decisions for themselves!
Let’s get real here people. If you genuinely think these magazines are a negative in the world and that increasing the height they reside at is going to make a blind bit of difference to anything, then you’ve also got start waving your censorship stick and plenty of other things as well. I propose we start by only letting BNP members campaign during schools hours so that kids aren’t exposed to them.
Sounds like you've got self esteem issues which I don't think has anything to do with the magazines ... I've only seen a few pics of you but I'd say you were certainly prettier then the average girl
And also people don't look the same in magazines as they do in real life and I've stood 3 feet away from Jodie Marsh and had Gerie Haliwell's arm on my shoulder so I've got some reference points!!
Whether or not that's true, it's a step up from being dense.
And why do people think that it is something "going for them"?
It wouldn't have anything to do with the media glamourising the idea of the stud, saying that notches = manliness, would it?
These magazines are damaging because of the way they portray women and sexual relationships. It isn't because they are "smut", as CoatHanger seems to be arguing. I am not against them because they show women with no clothes on, I am against them because of how they then go on to portray women as inferior if they don't look as good or if they don't get their baps out for the lads as well.
They portray women as something to be consumed, as they portray women as just another consumer luxury. If you're not having the right sex with the right woman then you're a failure as a man- is that something that you want young men learning when they are at their most vulnerable to peer pressure? It's what these magazines are telling 14 year old boys now. It's no wonder male depression is going through the roof.
It isn't prudishness that makes me feel that lads mags portray a damaging and unhealthy view of life, people and sexual relationships. It isn't even part of a feminist agenda to think that, as men get damaged by this just as much as women do.
I completely disagree with what you're saying there - I've been reading FHM since the 'For Him Magazine" days and more recently, Nuts and there's nothing wrong with my attitude towards women - or if there is, not one woman I have been around or worked with has sought to bring it to my or my superior's attention.
Sounds like you're trying to blame your own failure with women earlier in life on on the crudeness of commercial lad culture - which, really, is nothing more than a crude parody of the male mindset.
Men will always aspire to getting good looking women and men will always regard their partners as a measure of their success in life - with or without FHM.
Blagsta - I read a lot about gender issues, feminist and anti-feminist. Your agenda is opposition to notions of pre-set instincts or natural inclinations to certain behaviour in favour of pure cultural determinism. Highly foolish imo.
