    I don't agree with prostitution whatsoever. I think it is awful and personally, I would look down on a guy if he had slept with a prostitute. It shows a lack of respect for himself and the girl.

    I only think its acceptable if the girl is willing and consenting, and went into the job from her own personal choice. If she is being traffiked or fuelling a drug addiction, no way. Although I dont think i would ever go out with someone who had ever visited a prostitute

    i would like to think that if the female is not forced into working there then there shouldnt be a problem, however i doubt that if i found out that my boyfriend had been to see one that i would be too chuffed. if a guy that i was going to sleep with told me that he had slept with a prostitute then he would have to be pretty special for me to over look it.

    i know its irattional but hey thats what my heads like lol

    Someon I knew owned a couple of salons. He charged more for a cut than "his girls"

    He'd have people coming in weekly/fortnightly, and he'd do very little, except chat and pretend to be interested in their lives. And do the whole camp routine if he thought it was what they wanted. He would rather have been seeing them less often, and restyling than the basic maintenance he was doing - but he knew what his customers wanted.

    My question was how this example of someone paying for another to feign intimacy fits into your "hugely judgmental" mindset - i.e. just backing it off from sex, just a little, because (as far as I'm concerned) there are big post-christian hangups that seem to make people stop thinking as soon as sex get involved.

    Nah, you're not ;)

    I think the latest figures showed that 1 in 10 men surveyed had visited a prostitute. Tbh, as I said, as long as both parties are safe and consenting, I really don't have a problem with it. There are far worse things a person could do.

    it wouldnt NECESSARILY put me off someone.
    If I click with someone and really like them, then tbh, they could have any amount of sordid skeletons in their closet and I wouldnt necessarily hold it against them unless it was something dangerous to me and mine. If i could understand why someone did something and the context they did it then no problem at all. If it was indicative of how they saw women in general and it was an ongoing thing, then they probably wouldnt be the kind of person id like anyway.

    it doesnt bother me, the way i see it if men r unhappy for whatever reason and need sex i wud prefer them to visit a prostitues than to go out and force a women into sex, e.g rape her or drug her so they could.

    I havent been in the situation where i have been with a bloke who had visited them b4 so maybe my opinion would change if i did, but all in all, i think as long as the men r happy, and the prostitues are doing it out of choice to make a living, not being forced to by someone then fair play to them.

    well yeah, obviously, but its not as if thats the only two options open to people.
    Rape isnt about sexual gratification. Its about violence. its not the same thing.

    Its not cheap according to some research I've done. You're talking about at least a £100, a lot more if you want specialist services.
