Who did you vote for?

ooooh taboo question. hehe

who did you vote for and why?

I voted for the Green party in the European elections because I identify with their policies that I know of. I am quite an environmentally concious person so I felt that was the party for me.

Locally I voted Labour. They only had the three main parties standing in the locals, and I was torn between voting lib dem because I dont like the current government, or Labour because ive always voted labour.
Beep boop. I'm a bot.

I voted exactly the same as Rainbow Brite. I voted Green Party in the European elections because I agree with their policies (and am a party member) and used my three local council votes for the three Labour candidates as they have done a good job in my area and I haven't any complaints. They were also the only ones who bothered to canvass. There were several independent candidates who I'd never heard of, so how they think they've a chance in hell puzzles me!

My mum voted the same as me but used her third local council vote for a Lib Dem because he has a cute name - Mr Dumpleton. ;)

Lukesh - the question was who did you vote for, not who would you vote for if you could. When you grow up a little more your political opinions many mature/change anyway and you may find your stance changes dramatically.

When I was younger I was a staunch Lib Dem supporter and that has changed a lot in two years!

    You're most probably right.
But the age card is annoying. Especially when this board is aimed at an agegroup, where some are not eligible(sp?) to vote.
Plus, you can't always meassure intelligence and experience in age.

Well I'm glad you wouldn't have voted for UKIP or BNP had you had the chance Luke. :)

I'm voting tonight after work. Undecided on the European elections... all I know is that it won't be Labour or the Tories (or the two nasties). Respect, the Greens or Lib Dem will be the recipients of my vote. I'll be voting for Ken Livingstone in the mayoral elections though. I shiver at the prospect of Tory Shagger Norries as mayor of London.

I don't want you to change who you support because of me, I was merely pointing out that your opinions can change before you're old enough to vote. I used my own experience as an example.

    I voted Labour.

There seems to be a load of parties that I'd never heard of until this election. Scottish Wind Watch, The Christian People's Alliance etc. Might just be my ignorance though.

I had a quick look to get a feel for the parties. Seems to be a rise in religous and radical parties. Which can't be a good thing.

I reckon some of them are just trying to get publicity for their causes rather than get elected.

I ended up voting Respect on everything but London mayor (Livingstone, Hughes as second choice). I appreciate that Lib Dems could have used the votes better but I won't give 'New Labour' a rest over Iraq for as long as they're around.

How did you vote ladymuck, if you don't mind my asking?
