call me cynical but ...the twp people charged with the murders have never been in trouble before and ...how long have they had them locked up already? lots of time to get lots of evidence presumably.
plus a copper on the case is a child porn merchant? not on the case any longer obviously.
something about this case just doesn't add up.

This is about the two girls who were found dead in Cambridgeshire last year. The two pwopl on trial worked at the school, one is charged with murder and the other (his girlfriend) with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
I'm not a cynical as Mr Roll, but this case does seem to have been hanging around for a while now...
If I was charged with something like this I think I'd ask to have the hearing infront of a pannel of judges, if you can do that.
He was cleared of all charges a few months back -

That they wont let it colour their judgement, not even slightly? I really dont think that is possible.

That must depend on the evidence submitted, surely ?
If there is sufficient evidence to give a Not Guilty verdict then im sure that the jury will do that.

But you do really get people as stupid as them cos A pedeatrision(sp) got mobbed because they didnt know the difference between a pedaphile and a pedeatrision.
I do not think everyone is as angry as before, now I think people want justice.
If the prosecution has enough evidence then the result should be the right one.
Thats an interesting way of putting it, shouldnt it be, if there is enough evidence to convict them they will, its innocent till proven otherwise, well in most cases anyway (see my other post)
Well obviously they will remember it, but you're never going to stop the media going mental over issues when they feel the need to. I would like to think that the jury would be able to put that out of their mind and come up with a verdict based on facts.
I wouldn't have thought the jury are going to get chased down the street by the protest mob if they come back with a not guilty verdict, the prosecution and police will be the ones getting an ear full.
Ive been reading some of the stuff in the papers and tbh I think by the sounds of what I have read they are going to have lots of evidence to convict him.
What does anyone else think ?

I like to read for myself whats actually gone off in court. I know the press can publish untruths sometimes, but surely in court cases they can only print things which have actually been said ?
I still want to know how the bodies were so badly decomposed a cause of death couldn't be found...is it just cos they were burnt or is there something else that i've missed?
I don't think it should be quite as much in the papers as it is. Or at least not as obvioulsy and as much. It can't be nice for the parents of the girls and do we all really want to know as much as we're being told. It isn't down to us if they're guilty, why should we be so nosey in the case?
I don't have a problem with the press reporting a case court. By law they have to give impartial reporting, and I'm not suggesting they're doing otherwise (although one could say they like to concentrate on some statements more than others).
But I might have a problem with the "Earth, stop rotating now! The outside world does no longer exist! The trial of a man accused of murdering two (white, Home Counties) girls is on, and therefore nothing else matters in the world! Let's give it a full front page treatment every day, caring about nothing else, and report every last detail revealed for as long as the trial takes!"
Two girls were murdered. It is a terrible tragedy. And so is that child who was run down at a zebra crossing. Or that other child that was knifed to death. But don't expect their cases to be reported incessantly on the front pages of every tabloid and most broadsheets for weeks on end... They weren't murdered by (possibly) a paedophile, so no much interest there from our fair and balanced press :rolleyes:
So now with us actually hearing some of the evidence it gives us an insight to what did actually happen.
So basing on what I have read I think he will go down, they have enough evidence to say he was there and he murdered them in my opinion.
