Hi @Matthew_04
Thanks for reply.
Yeah it felt horrible, isolating to be left alone for that long without him sort of acknowledging or trying to be support. 2 hoyrs is long! But then he acknowledged later he could read my body language. He reads it but will leave it to me to then approach him but I'm not going to, its hard!
Monday, I struggled when he walked past he asked if all was okay said no so he came back to me and told me to go on timeout.
This thurs was my first shift at new place, I emailed the service manager and she spoke to me about it, suggested to try it with everyone else. I met my manager at door.
My manager read my body language and he did ask me if i was okay , i said yeah hut tjay was a lie and he left me to it. I burst out crying when it was the end of my shify (reduced shift) so I asked the other worker to call my mamager out and he came out to me he was nice and supportive then. I coped well but it was overwhelming and he said to me 'im so proud of you ".
Occ health i sorted it. Your right a male person triggers me! Its hard. I didn't wanted to talk to my manager about it as his male so I asked him to get his manager (service manager) to call me, spoke to her and its now been postponed 2 weeks so it with a female and she said don't worry about probation thing. My probation ends the day of the assessment. Its for thrm to understand what further adjustments they can make.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to get your preference for a female person for occupational health, it sounds like that'll make it more comfortable for you, and hopefully they'll be able to understand and offer reasonable adjustments for you. Well done for voicing your opinion on this, it's not always easy but you managed to do it well!
Thanks for reply.
Its always the same team just working on a rota system. The manager on shift tjurs at new place was my manager so the same manager that left me struggling.
I guess he did leave me Thursday as well its only because i had a massive cry outside and the other worker saw that she then went to go and tell my manager to come out (after i told her to get my manager) that did he speak to me but he wa realky nice when he did. Mostly he seems to be okay and quite nice when you speak to him its just me needing to find a,way of communicating to him 'im struggling can i talk to you', because I think he just waits for me vut I can't say.
Overall it was a lot, overwhelming to take it all in trave of 40mins in taxi which is a newz scary thing, smaller, less rooms availableto us, theres lots od crying noises at times etc so challenges vut Im happy as I coped quite well.
Thank you yes, im glad I voiced. Hope they dont thibk in being stupid. My manager hadn't spoken to me about it so I'm guessing his fine about what me and service manager agreed.
