Community Manager Posts: 280 The Mix Regular
We know GCSE results day is coming up next week and we understand that this can be a stressful time. Whether you're feeling anxious, excited, or a mix of both, you're definitely not alone
This thread is a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings, vent about the pressure, or just chat about your plans for the day. Remember, GCSEs are just one part of your journey, and we at The Mix think you're amazing no matter what your results are.
You've worked incredibly hard, and we're proud of you!
We are also considering running a support chat on Chatwee on Thursday afternoon for anyone who has collected their results- does this sound like something you guys would find helpful? Let us know!

I don't have very high hopes with my results 😬 My mental health was awful throughout exams and I did sooo much worse than I would've because of it. I've just got to try and get through the anxiety of not getting the grades for my course lol and also get ready to dissapoint everyone as according to them "I've done great and would've passed everything" :')
I've tried to be as realistic with my predictions as I can but I have a feeling the results will be much lower😅
Maths - 6
English Language - 5 (🤞🏻🤞🏻English is my biggest worry)
English Literature - 4 (🤞🏻🤞🏻)

To get into my course I have to get atleast a 4 in both maths and English and then 2 other 4s
Ah it just sais English. I think they take either as long as one is a pass but it'd be nice to pass both
We've set up a support chat on Friday from 4-5pm. Whether you're waiting on results or just got yours, feel free to pop along. More info on how to join over in this thread

I'm fairly happy as I'm in my course but still part if me that wished I did better but I can't change it now. I'm relieved tho
@Gemma i feel good about my results. i passed most of my gcses so i got 7 of them.
@Chloe234 I’m really happy for you, despite everything you did it!!
7 is amazing so proud of you
Coincidentally I got my uni results today and after all the struggles, all the resits and all the fails, I somehow managed to pass and will be graduating!! Whoo!
Weirdly enough, even though I should, I don't really feel happy... like is it actually over now?? What do I do... I was honestly mentally preparing myself to retake and do another year, hopefully change some stuff along the way. But I wont be doing that, which makes me happy that its over but also kinda sad. I just dont think I made the most of uni so I'm sad to finally see it go, plus I dont believe I deserve to graduate but I can't complain. Anyways
I’m happy for you - uni has it’s ups and can also be a tough ride with all the studying exams and assignments to complete, so well done for getting through it and the resits and struggles too which would’ve made that ride harder. And that’s why you deserve to graduate 🥳
@JJLemon18 congratulations for graduating! Uni is a marathon and you've seen it through to the end, that's a great achievement. Proud of you for overcoming the challenges that have come your way, you've absolutely earned this and deserve it!
I can hear how you're feeling on uni being over, and you're not alone in feeling that way - it's actually quite common. Until the end of university (or sixth form for some), life feels like a linear path through each stage of education. Now that you've graduated, that's no longer the case - you have freedom to choose what you do next, which will likely feel unfamiliar. Do you have any thoughts on what you might like to do next?
