We know GCSE results day is coming up next week and we understand that this can be a stressful time. Whether you're feeling anxious, excited, or a mix of both, you're definitely not alone <3

This thread is a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings, vent about the pressure, or just chat about your plans for the day. Remember, GCSEs are just one part of your journey, and we at The Mix think you're amazing no matter what your results are.

You've worked incredibly hard, and we're proud of you!

:star::star::star:

We are also considering running a support chat on Chatwee on Thursday afternoon for anyone who has collected their results- does this sound like something you guys would find helpful? Let us know!

@Chloe234 btw I don’t think English literature actually matters, as long as you get the 4 in English language. Unless your course has specified you need a 4 in both

Ah it just sais English. I think they take either as long as one is a pass but it'd be nice to pass both

Wishing lots of luck to everyone receiving results tomorrow and next week. Keep posting here whenever you need to, we're all here for you <3

We've set up a support chat on Friday from 4-5pm. Whether you're waiting on results or just got yours, feel free to pop along. More info on how to join over in this thread :)
Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

Wishing everyone the best of luck tomorrow! Try and remember that results aren't the be all and end all - there's always lots of options and pathways.

    You're not alone <3

Good luck to everyone getting results today! Remember that your grades don't define you and this one set of results won't determine your future. <3

As someone who had to constantly retake maths lots of time well into lockdown and in college I know how you are feeling right now @Rose113. But even though you got a 3 in your maths that doesn't you have done bad, you have tried your absolute hardest. I can tell how much that meant to you as well. That is still good as it shows you improved from the year before. I hope your doing ok right now <3.

@Rose113 you could always resit your exam too but as long as you feel ready and comfortable to resit it as well. Resitting your exam is a personal choice and you shouldn't feel pressured into resitting an exam if you don't want to. I'm always here too if you need any help with things <3.

Well today there's been tears ahaha I'm mostly happy with my results but a tad dissapointed with English. My English Literature I was 2 marks off a pass however so school may get it remarked.
I've tried to be as realistic with my predictions as I can but I have a feeling the results will be much lower😅
    Maths - 6
English Language - 5 (🤞🏻🤞🏻English is my biggest worry)
    English Literature - 4 (🤞🏻🤞🏻)
    Combined science- 4-4
Hospitality and catering- Destinction Level 2, Merit Level 2 - combined Merit Level 2
    Drama - 4
    Design Technology - 8
    Computer science - 2
These were my predictions and I ended up with:

    Maths - 7 (3 marks off an 8!!)
    English language - 4
    English Literature - 3
    Combined science - 6-5
Hospitality and catering- Level 2 Destinction
    Drama - 6
    Design Technology - 8 (5 marks off 9!!)
    Computer science - 4

I'm fairly happy as I'm in my course but still part if me that wished I did better but I can't change it now. I'm relieved tho

    @JJLemon18 yesss 🎉
I’m happy for you - uni has it’s ups and can also be a tough ride with all the studying exams and assignments to complete, so well done for getting through it and the resits and struggles too which would’ve made that ride harder. And that’s why you deserve to graduate 🥳
  • GemmaGemma Community Manager Posts: 1,138 Wise Owl
Well done @JJLemon18! Uni is no mean feat and you've done amazingly well to graduate!! Go and celebrate your achievements, you now have a degree! <3

Congratulations all around for your results! :)

@JJLemon18 congratulations for graduating! Uni is a marathon and you've seen it through to the end, that's a great achievement. Proud of you for overcoming the challenges that have come your way, you've absolutely earned this and deserve it! :)

I can hear how you're feeling on uni being over, and you're not alone in feeling that way - it's actually quite common. Until the end of university (or sixth form for some), life feels like a linear path through each stage of education. Now that you've graduated, that's no longer the case - you have freedom to choose what you do next, which will likely feel unfamiliar. Do you have any thoughts on what you might like to do next? <3
