Out of Control

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 86 Budding Regular
Hi,

My anxiety is really bad atm. I'm trying everything to sort it out. I've downloaded apps; tried mindfulness and relaxing, but then I remember work and I want to crawl into a ball and scream. I've fudged up and everyone is watching over me like a hawk and I'm too scared to do anything in case I do something wrong. If anyone has any tips, tools or words of support, I would appreciate it because now I'm on the edge and can't face anything .

    Hey Skye :)

Breathe! Take a moment for yourself, and be in the moment. I'd strongly recommend meditation - even 5 minutes can help you relax!x

    Much love <3

    Hey Skye

How are you doing now? And how has work been? Hope not too stressful. Know can feel horrible when your work place gives you anxiety.

“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

Aw sorry to hear this <3

I hope you've felt better since posting this. I'm no stranger to feelings of anxiety, so I've found a few things that can provide just a bit of relief - dk if you've tried these or if they'd work, but thought I'd share in case it comes in handy:

    • listening to music
    • playing online games
    • amusing myself by doing/looking at things that make me laugh
    • hiding in a quiet, safe-feeling room
    • exercise
    • controlled and slower breathing
    • writing about the anxiety

I bet you're doing fab Skye <3 As Shaunie asked, how's work been?

    Take care x
