Why Don't Girls Buy Rechargeable Batteries

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
One thing that really annoys me about Girls .. is how many I come across that don't understand the concept of buying rechargeable batteries as opposed to disposable ones.

I know there are obviously plenty of guys that do the same BUT try to explain to a girl that if you lay out about £10 upfront on a charger that comes with some batteries you'll save a fortune in the long run. Plus you'd be doing the environment a huge favor as well.

You can buy decent rechargeable batteries online now for as little as £1 each and they can be charged upto 1,000 times.

What the fuck are you on about? It's got nothing to do with being a girl.

    ...fascinating.

Coming next: why people from South Yorkshire dont buy whiteboards instead of paper.

I'm a girl, well a lady, and I buy rechargeable batteries.
I've seen many generalisations in my time, but this one is the strangest.

I feel like the OP is trying to explain something to me.
    But I dont get it!

Maybe it's because it has been scientifically proven that 99.9% of girls have a rechargeable battery phobia.

If only the OP had referenced vibrators, circle would be complete.

I have been told it is a mans world, and thus, in memory of my repressed foremothers I intend to ruin this earth in every way possible, including putting hundreds of dead batteries into landfills, so at least it is a shitty world.

I also use styrofoam frequently so suck it, dude!

My vibrator literally eats AA batteries. I used to have a rechargable mains operated one but I wore it out.

    South Yorkshire

Shout out to my home town ;)

rechargable batteries don't behave like normal batteries - they stop in moments instead of slowly reducing intensity - which can leave you in a bit of a pickle if you're using them in something like a torch.

I used to buy rechargeable batteries, but it turned me into a lesbian, so now I buy girls' batteries. In pink packets, where possible.

I always wondered what made people gay or straight! Now I know ;) But... what about bisexuals... maybe they don't have any batteries at all?!

I'm bisexual and my top drawer is full of batteries. Need them for my vibrator, my remote controls and my freshmatic air freshner. Mostly for the vibrator though.

I don't know what I am, sexuality wise... I suppose bisexual, because gender doesn't matter to me in terms of love.
I wonder if this is reflected in my battery selection :chin: ;)

More than ever electrical things come with built in rechargable batteries though. Like phones, MP3 players (walkmen used to use a lot of batteries if I recall), cameras.

This might actually explain the decline in society's moral standards. Someone should tell Nick Griffin about this, I'm sure he'd stand up for "what's right".

    I'm definitely gender queer.

I buy poundland batteries but use them in my xBox controller.

    :eek2:

Well that too would make me gender queer! Rechargeable xbox controller battery packs and mains operated vibrators FTW!

I thought you were supposed to keep mains operated electrical appliances away from damp conditions?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru

I can only assume it's for giving your growler a quick wash and brush up afterwards?

I buy my batteries (non-rechargable) in bulk from Toys R Us, I'm wondering what subliminal message this means for me?
