    Lightly toast the bread, still toasted, plus the heat from the microwave will soften.

    If you want the toast to be soggy, why don't you just have BREAD?

    no no no! The toast is not proper soggy. The top of the toast and the crusts are but inside the toast and the bottom still has a little bit of crunch. Its perfection.

    But... soggy toast. It's like pouring water all over it, and then tomato sauce. It's just wrong :crying: haha!

    If it goes properly soggy you are using poor quality beans with too high a water content. It should be soft, a little limp, but with an amount of bite to the underside. Either that or you are using a medium sliced loaf, when probably a thick slice would work better.

    I have to agree with the soggy toast thing, ive started to have a plate of beans with cheese on top and then toast on the side I can dip in. I hate soggy toast!!!

    Its googles, since me and my camera are currently playing (and the camera is winning) hide and seek, I couldnt take a pic myself.

    wow, i'm sure this thread wasn't here yesterday.... and now 4 pages of beans on toast!

    but.. i wants..mmmmmmmmmmmm

    thing is, the heinz beans are expensive, and the 'heinz-a-likes' Watties beans are rank, they taste of tomato ketchup *yuk*

    Yeah Ska, and if you're cooking just for yourself, you need to use a half-pot which is relatively more expensive. I normally buy the 3 pack half-pots which works out at about a quid.
