I like Kayla for a girl. My coworkers son's name is Carter and I think that is cute... but it might just be because he is the cutest little kid.

http://www.momswhothink.com/baby-names/baby-names.html has a silly amount of names with meaning and origin

I like names that are unusual, but not unknown. Classic names, too. Or anything in between. I don't want them to have the same name as every other kid in their primary school class, but equally I don't want them to spend their whole lives spelling out their name for people.

Our surname is very 'normal' and English, so a classic name will suit well. Could probably carry off a slightly less normal name, but deffo nothing ethnic or wacky. And probably nothing ending in an n. And nothing that anyone else in my family is already called.

Obviously I have my work cut out for me :p

All except traditional British or heavily anglicised names.

Don't think our surname could carry off a Jean-Baptiste, or an Eduardo, or a Bronislawa.

Probably should have said foreign. Nothing foreign-sounding.

I like the name Ben tbh.

But my kids names will be Michaela and Jack.

I also like Alexis and William. And I personally wouldn't shorten Oliver to Olly. I think Olly is meh. And there's a twat at work who's nephew's name is Olly and is a little shit.
