Yeah, some South African accents, as long as they are not the thick, Afrikaans accent, are very cool. And yes, the accent is better in the men than the women.

Actually on second thoughts I do think South African accents can sound really hot on girls, but it's a fucking cool accent anyway.
I think the Afrikaans accent is pretty wicked. lol

just curious to see what people say. personally, mainly at the moment, girls with a welsh accent is doing it for me. who knows why. :p

On the flip side, is there an accent that does not appeal?
God yes, I love accents. When I'm speakin to someone with an accent i dont actually listen to what they're saying to me, i just nod and hope its right

I have to admit to finding the geordie accent a bit of a turn on

I think it might be something to do with having had a crush on Terry from Byker Grove in my younger days... :chin:

Entirley depends on the person, some accents are genaerally quite nice (Irish, Welsh, Candian, North London ;) ) and some just grate (Scouse, Brummy)

I love love love New Zealand accents. I met a couple of guys while I was out there who I thought were hot anyway but the accent just was the icing on the cake...unfortunately being there with my boyfriend I just had to admire from afar  I have to agree with those who've said Irish as well...and although it pains me to admit it I do quite like a bit of posh. Hugh Grant type accents. I don't know why!

ETA: I also agree with whoever said they're not keen on Bristolian/West Country accents. Doesn't do it for me at all.

I think pretty much all accents are attractive. I especially like the Spanish and Irish though. They make me go a bit weak at the knees.

Can't stand scouse accents, everytime I hear Kerry Katona speak I want to scream.

You do know Kerry Katona isn't scouse? It's not a scouse accent you're listening to.

actually, after reading an article in a newspaper last week, the yorkshire accent is apparently the most intelligent accent in england. ha :D so :p

Warrington and Liverpool are only 20 miles apart. Close enough for me. :)

Makes no difference, it's not a scouse accent or even close, it's more like a manc accent. You only have to travel under 10 miles from liverpool city centre to change to a completely different accent.

I find a scouse accent on girls quite attractive actually, along with the South West, South Irish and Essex accents.

The ones I hate the most are Brummie accents and Wigan area accents.

I like Scotish accents but find them a bit hard to understand sometimes.
