My mates and I are going out tonight none of us smoke. We were wondering if we could use water guns to put out fags at midnight We wont get beaten up (probably) the place is full of emo/indie scenesters

Well due to the herd of elephants that are sitting on my chest this morning due to smoking far too much last night, I think I will avoid them. I will pretend the ban came in today

Yes, under new government legislation you could be fined £50 for simulating the act of smoking in a public place.

I don't think this ban is such a bad thing now, I've warmed to it despite being a smoker but I can see myself one night, pissed right up, pulling out a fag and sparking up in the pub.

If I'm pissed and somebody pulls me up on having a smoke I can see it kicking off.

There's a bit of leniancy at the start like, no one's gonna grab you by the neck and fuck you out of the bar but they will after a while.

Smoking ban is good like, meet all sorts of weird and wonderful characters outside having a fag you wouldn't otherwise in the pub/club.

I'm still smoking on/off haven't managed to give up yet. I'm hoping this ban will kick my arse in gear so I can be totally smoke free

There is two in Notts that claim to be the oldest. I been in the one built into the rocks. Thats a great little place to get drunk in

haha! cheeky! theres places that smell far worse.

i go to rock and indie clubs a lot so it'll be interesting to find out if the smoke really does hide the smell of sweat! we shall see.

for one im looking forward to not having a croaky voice everytime i get up in the morning after a night out cos of all the smoke around me. woop.

I won't miss the stink of old fags on my shirt and on my skin after a night out.

There is nothing worse than the smell of stale smoke when your hungover :yuck:

I think this will help a lot of people to give up, maybe.
